I slowly walked downstairs to the door. I started to open the door when I heard a familiar voice. Mom. I sighed with relief and opened the door. Mom was wearing a black t-shirt with jeans. She was glaring at me. "Where have you been, I have been worried sick?!" You made me look bad!" I rolled my eyes and started back toward my bedroom, but she stopped me before I could get there. I thought about telling her the truth but I ended up saying, "I was hanging out with.. Uh Jordan." I smiled a weak smile. She stared at me knowing it was a lie. I sighed and told her what really happened. I got to the end of the story and she was in awe. I could tell she was also frightened though. She had always thought I was a normal person and I wanted to believe it too. But I just wasn't I thought about this for a moment until she said, "How?". There was a long, deep silence. "I don't know what happened I was in school one moment and walking into a conference room the next. Luckily I managed to get out." She was shocked. I looked at her apologetically, searching for forgiveness. "I'm sorry I didn't tell you I just thought maybe you didn't have to be involved or I could learn to control it. I just got so mad at Ms. Collens. That I just couldn't hold it back anymore." She stopped her stare and said, "It's alright, everyone makes mistakes. Why don't you go upstairs and get some rest." I slowly headed upstairs to my bedroom. I was gonna call my friend, but then I thought about what happened. They would never just leave me alone, not after what they saw me do. I thought about this for a long time. I could think of only one solution. Run away. I would start packing right away.
