The next morning's rays of sunlight shone through the exposed window and across Victoria's room, softly setting upon the naked bodies that slept in the bed peacefully. Troy had pulled the covers over them both during the night when he felt Victoria shiver in her arms. He had noticed that she had a nightmare during the night too because she kept telling someone to stop, and pleaded for help. He held her closer to her and she stopped shivering and panting from the nightmare, seeming to be in a better place to sleep now. Troy began to wake up as the sun hit his face, hearing someone yelling down the hall. The voice was familiar but he couldn't place his finger on whom. Victoria stirred next to him and he opened his eyes more to see she was still sleeping beside him. Troy got out of bed slowly so he didn't wake her up and he got dressed, slipping on a pair of jeans and a t-shirt before walking to the manor kitchen for something to eat.

The kitchen was rather large, with brick walls and a grey stone tile floor with multiple benches in the middle of the room. There were five ovens to the left and a large sink to the right of the room for the dishes. Troy always felt sorry for the person who had to wash dishes, he remembered doing them as a chore when he was a child and always found that the water always scalded his hand or it froze it because he couldn't get the temperature right. He shook his head slightly and went to a large stainless steel fridge and collected eggs, milk, butter before putting them on the bench and going to the pantry to get vanilla essence, self-rising flour and caster sugar. He brought all of the ingredients to a clean work space and gathered a large bowl and a whisk to combine the ingredients together to make a pancake mix. He turned on a stove top behind him and heated a frying pan, oiling it with butter and preparing a plate layered with a paper towel to soak the excess oil when they were finished cooking. He began to sing a small song to himself while he spent the next hour in the kitchen preparing a breakfast for Victoria and himself.

Victoria woke up to an empty bed and looked around, calling out for Troy but got no reply. She had another nightmare last night and she wanted to tell him about it. A small knock rang from the door and she slid into her night gown before opening it to see Alistair at the door.

"Can I help you?" Victoria looked at him with a strange expression, she could have sworn she had seen this man before but she couldn't remember where from.

"Victoria, we need to talk. Troy isn't what you think he is. He is deceiving you. He erased our memory so he could be with you instead of us being together. Do you understand what I am saying?" Alistair attempted to hold her in his arms and looked at her in shock when she shoved him away.

"Listen. I am royalty and you will call me such. I have no memory of you nor of a relationship with you and I don't know if you know this but it is against Vampire custom to have any sort of a relationship between royalty and a... a commoner." The last word stung a little more than he expected, especially when she spat it out like she did. Did he erase her memory too? Or was she so in love with the man that she refused to believe it? Maybe it was both. Alistair tried to reason with her but she wouldn't have it despite him telling her things that only she would know. After a while she had grown tired of him reasoning with her and she showed him to the door.

"Listen, you are a stalker and you need to get over this obsession with me okay? Go and find one of the coven's whores and sleep with them for a change okay?" and with that she closed the door and sighed with relief. She had never had anything like that happen to her and she thought that she handled the situation quite well. She went back to bed and lay down for a bit longer, wondering where Troy had gone before falling back asleep.

Troy had finished preparing breakfast and he set it all neatly on a large tray before beginning to carry it back to the room. He was thinking of how he could spoil her after when she had done for him today, and many ideas began to form around his head. He smiled and continued to think, not noticing Alistair walking back from the room and going to his instead. It took Alistair everything he had not to kill him there when he saw him. He saw him for what he really was and he took Victoria away from him. That was something he could never fix. But as Alistair began to move to confront him, he thought about what Victoria would think about this. She saw him as delusional, like when he first saw here when he had his memory erased. He knew that it would take a while before Troy would let her slip from his grasp and he needed to find out what Troy planned to do with her. Alistair almost bumped into Troy and he apologized before walking away again, acting as if he still didn't remember anything. Troy fought to grin menacingly and call him and ignorant fool, but he noticed something different about him it was like he had, had a major breakthrough and was on a mission. Troy shrugged and continued to walk back to the room, opening the door once he arrived and found his prize still sleeping in her bed. He laid down the tray on a bench and set the dinner table for two before laying out their meals and tea. He smiled in satisfaction with his efforts and walked over to Victoria, she must have awoken because she was in her night gown. He could smell the scent of another male and he began to growl, the noise waking up Victoria with alarm.
