The Story Of A Broken Girl

Chapter Nine

As we got into Grace's room I saw a broken and damaged young girl, covered in bandages. When she looked up you could see the sadness and pain in her eyes even with a smile planted on her face. I looked from her to what I assumed were her brother and a friend and the sickened pain, loss of hope and happiness was clear in all their features from the frowning sunken red blotchy watery eyes and red cheeks to the frown planted on their lips.

Just as I was about to sit down with Brian I got a call from one of my fellow officers
"So sorry I've got to take this" deeply apologising to everyone in the room.
"Hello Braxton, what's the news on the girls father?"
"We've arrested him and now just collecting up evidence for the court."
"Okay thank you so much." And at that I hung up staring out the window like the weirdest person on earth.
"So what's the news?" Brian asked as he came up and put his hand on my shoulder.
"They have arrested him but we still need to go to court and given the evidence the that we've collected he doesn't stand a chance. "
"Oh my god thank you so much." Grace being as injured as she was jumped out of bed to hug Brian and I but soon collapsing as she wasn't strong enough yet to hold her weight especially with a broken leg. Brian caught her just before she hit the ground and carries her back into her bed
"No need to thank us it was the other officers who arrested him." Brian stated
"Well thank them for me as well then." Responded
"Will do." Brian said with a sympathetic smile
"Thank you!" Grace finished as Brian and I nodded in response before we headed off back to the office.

Graces POV:
After I heard that my father had been arrested I was so happy and despite my broken leg I jumped outta of bed and hugged both the officers before I collapsed but just before I hit the ground Officer O'Conner caught me and carried me back to my bed
"No need to thank us it was the other officers who arrested him." O'Conner stated
"Well thank them for me as well then." Responded
"Will do." He said with a sympathetic smile also showing pain as if he could literally feel my pain
"Thank you!" I finished as the officers nodded in response before they headed off. As they left Andy and Louis hugged me so tight as if trying to stick all my broken pieces back together. I felt this feeling in my stomach when I hugged Andy this feeling I hadn't felt in a long time last time I felt like this was with.... oh my god I think I'm in love no I can't be I mean I still like James don't I? I thought I did anyway. Well I guess ever since I met Andy he seemed different well so did James. Though I still don't know Andrew that well I mean I only met him not even a week ago and I think I'm falling for him already this can't be happening. I still love James right?
"Andrew will you excuse us a minute?"
"Yeah sure I'll just go down to get some more food or something" we chucked slightly I waited five minutes to make sure he couldn't here me.
"What is it Grace?" Louis asked as if I was about to tell him I was about to die.
"Um...I think I'm in love." I told him
"Is that it wow you had me worried for a minute then. With who?"
"Andrew."
"Omg I knew it." He half yelled
"Shut up! I don't want the world knowing."
"Aww... My little sisters in love."
"Omg!" I said putting my head down blushing slightly and not two minutes later Andy came around the corner
"Hey guys you finished talking or do you need me to go for a bit longer?"
"No we're done." Louis answered winking at me I shook my head and looked at Andy hoping he didn't see but by the smile that played on his lips he did.
"Okay then."

Andrews POV:
After the officers left it was quiet for a minute before Grace spoke up
"Andrew will you excuse us a minute?"
"Yeah sure I'll just go down to get some more food or something" we chucked slightly I walked out the door and I realised I forgot my wallet and curious what she wanted to say I stood quietly around the corner
"What is it Grace?" Louis asked five minutes later
"Um...I think I'm in love." I heard Grace say
"Is that it wow you had me worried for a minute then. With who?"
"Andrew."
"Omg I knew it." He half yelled
"Shut up! I don't want the world knowing."
"Aww... My little sisters in love."
"Omg!" I heard Grace say embarrassingly. I stood there shocked how the hell could she love me I'm no one special and not two minutes later I decided to walk back
"Hey guys you finished talking or do you need me to go for a bit longer?"
"No we're done." Louis answered winking at Grace as she shook her head and looked at me hoping I didn't see but by the smile that I tried to force off my lips she knew I saw.
"Okay then."
"Where's the food?" Grace chuckled
"I forgot my wallet." I answered picking my wallet off the table "so I just walked around." I lied hoping she couldn't tell and she giggled slightly as I just smiled at how cute she was while Louis winked at me before tilting his head slightly towards Grace before quickly back up right and at the same time quickly looking in her direction before back at me before I smiled slightly.

Hey here's chapter nine finally. Sorry it's taken so long I couldn't think of anything to write so I literally just made that up as I went along and it hasn't been edited like any of my previous chapters so hopefully it isn't to bad.
