As I do my homework my mom yells "OLIVIA YOU HAVE CROSS COUNTRY PRACTICE IN A HALF HOUR" I say "ok mom you dont have to yell."
cross country
I get to cross country a little early so I can tell the coach I am new and try and meat some new friends and people already on the team. Just as practice is about to start I see Grayson and Ethan come out of the car and run toward the bench where the coach, other runners and I are. I try and not to let them see me, but Grayson does see me walks over to me and whispers "you run?" I say "yeah a little..... wait you do football why r u here?" "Coach wants some of us to run especially his running backs *coughs* me" Grayson tells me. I say "cool,try and keep up" he smiles and says "ur on"! The cross country coach says "let's do an easy run today, two laps around the track then get a drink and we will do sprints". When he says "go" everyone takes off. Grayson starts ahead of me but then I catch up and we run side-by-side for the first lap. We talk about the project in school. Then all of a sudden he askes me if I ever had a boyfriend. I blush and say "no, I mostly focus on my schoolwork so I haven't had time for boys I guess"
this is really awkward talking about of all things to my crush, Grayson,about my love life which I don't even have.
He smiles and says "well I guess I'm faster than you at a lot of things: running and getting a date". He says this as he sprints ahead.
Grayson's POV
I can't believe I just said that to her she probably thinks I'm a snob. I hear her breathing behind me and know she has caught up to me. She sprints ahead of me and finishes the 2 lap then she says to me "I'm faster than you at one thing," smiles and gets a drink. I really like this girl.
