I got in the bus and sat in the back, like all the kids always did, as we waited for everyone to take their seats. It took forever just to get 80 people on a bus. Every year my parents Emma and Jacks organize the trip. " Ok, guys, this year we have a 2 new families, the Adamovs and Comrovs. We are going to be picking them up in New Jersey ON OUR WAY TO FLORIDA!" The entire bus starts screaming, my ears hurt so bad. I can't believe it, Florida. Mom was right, this is gonna be the best.
It's been 10 hours. We are literally so close to New Jersey already. " Ok guys" Dad announces, " You guys get a bathroom break, we are going to pick up the new families, and come back. So whoever has to go, get off!" Emma and I hop off, and the bus drives away.
" So, what do you think the new family is like, Letta?" Emma whispers. Letta is short for Nicoletta.
" I don"t know, but I hope there are some more girls our age!"
"Yeah, I want that!"
We get back on the bus, and we settle down.
" Letta, this is Elsa Comrov. She is 13 years old and will be with you guys.
She sits down. I can immediately tell that Emma doesn't like her. She is really pretty, but has a terrible sense of style. She wearing boot cut jeans with a baggy out of style top. Emma looks totally jealous.
" Hi guys, I'm Elsa, you are Letta, and you are..."
"Emma" she exclaims in disgust " it's Emma"
" Nice to meet you. So can you tell me, how does the trip usually go."
"Oh" says Letta " we usually drive for 10 hours a day, make 3 hours worth of stops, and the end of the day we have a vote to sleep in a hotel or not."
" Ok, so do we stop anywhere cool like a landmark along the way?"
" Yeah like we stopped at the White House in D.C."
" Woah, that's so cool!"
"Elsa, I'm gonna go to sleep, is the ok?"
" Yeah."
" Okay, good night!"
