Shattered

We were once so close,

Nothing could set us apart.

But then you left,

And broke my heart.

What happened to us?

Why did you leave?

I don't understand,

What I did to grieve.

You left me all broken.

And left without a glance.

I know you too well,

To ask for a second chance.

Although you may forget me,

It still hurts to think,

That whenever I'm in pain,

You won't even blink.

What happened to all those happy times?

When we would sit and laugh.

Forgetting all our pain,

You were my other half.

I hate that you left.

I hate that you don't care.

How could you leave me like this?

So sad and so bare.

I thought you were my sister,

Did you need to be so cruel?

You let me fall to the ground,

You broke the No.1 rule.

Sometimes I sit on the porch.

Thinking that you'll come back.

Sometimes I huddle up in a ball,

And cry till I feel slack.

I know I'm being stupid,

That I shouldn't have cared.

But you were always there for me,

When I was oh so scared.

We said we'd go to England,

Travel the world and more.

"Best Friends Forever"

Was I really such a bore?

Was it all pretend?

Did you really feel?

Or was it all words,

Oh how I wish it was real!

Now I am empty,

There is nothing inside.

I was stupid to care,

Now I know you lied.

I am standing here shattered,

You hurt me to no end.

But I can never really hate you.

You will always be: My Best Friend.
