I keep my head down so as to not have to face the wind directly, my feet crunch on the fallen leaves of autumn. Hugging myself tightly with my arms, I continue on my way to my first lesson of the day, IT.
It's the most disengaging lesson ever! I don't know why I ever chose it as an option but here I am again, ready to be bored out of my mind. Though there is always the chance that he might be there.
For the last couple of weeks, a mysterious boy has been sat at the back of our class on his laptop with headphones on. I have never seen him before those lessons so I am assuming that he is in the sixth form as he is always in non-uniform. He is very tall and well built with light brown hair and the most amazing electric blue eyes that always sparkle when I see them. Whenever I walk in the class, he smiles, greets me then consumes himself in his work and music for the rest of the lesson. He has never said more than one word to me and yet the sight of him always gets my heart fluttering. With a new hop in my step, I enter block 2 and begin to climb the steps that lead to the IT classroom.
Before I push the door open, I run my fingers through my dishevelled hair and pull my sleeves down taking a deep breath. As I step over the threshold, my eyes quickly sweep the interior of the room, desperately searching for any sign of him. Much to my dismay, I cannot see him or his gorgeous smile anywhere. I slump my shoulders and wander to my usual seat furthest away from the teachers desk. I pull out my laptop and put in my earphones trying not to concentrate on the absence of the sixth former.
As the familiar lyrics of Ed Sheeran's "A team" pump into my ears. I open up my drawing programme, attach my drawing pad to my laptop and begin adding to my master piece. My stylus skirts delicately over the surface of the pad and the colour and lines appear on the screen. The idyllic face I have created over the weeks is beginning to have some life in it, I mark out the sparkling light in the dazzling blue eyes before hitting save and hurriedly unplugging my earphones just as the teacher walks in. I'd rather not have them confiscated today. I shove the item in my bag and get ready for the lesson, but when I look up, my eyes become lost in that unforgettable pair that make my heart leap.
