Sat next to me was the sixth former, gazing at my face as if deep in contented thought. He must have slipped into the classroom just after the teacher did for me not to notice his entrance.

"Hello, how are you?" His voice comes out in a gentle rumble that rolls delightfully off his tongue sending a shiver down my spine.

"Bored already" I say resting my head on my hand but giving him a small grin. He smiles in amusement before answering.

"Well that makes two of us, I don't even understand why this lesson even exists." The girly giggle that I follow with is a shock to me, it wasn't intentional, it just happened.

"What?" He asks looking curiously at me but with a hint of a grin touching his lips.

"Nothing, I just completely agree with what you said and was thinking the exact thing earlier." the smile tugging at his lips takes over and lights his face up.

"Now it's my turn to ask what" I put on a fake quizzical look which draws a delicious chuckle from his throat.

"What?" I ask again. He looks away before staring me right in the eye gently but with sincerity.

"You." He replies simply.

"OK I'm officially confused now," I say to him furrowing my eyebrows, but before he can reply my teacher starts talking so I turn from him and try to focus on the lesson. I can feel him looking at me. Who is he? I don't actually know his name and yet here I am sat next to this man having had a conversation with him and I never even thought to ask his name. I feel so rude.

As if he had had the same thought, he glances at me with his eyebrows raised then burrows through his bag retrieving a notepad and pen. He scribbles something quickly on the page before tearing it out of the book and sliding it to me.

It simply read:

What is your name?

His handwriting was messy but legible, just, and the note makes me smile to myself. I look at him and point to the pen he discarded on the desk, he nods so I extend my arm and take it before neatly writing Lily  below his question. I hand him back the note and the pen, he looks over the name before taking a little more time to scrawl something on the page.

When I get the note back, he puts his headphones on and starts ferociously typing away on his laptop with a new pink tint filling his cheeks. I open the now folded piece of paper and stare at the message that made my heart skip a beat.

A beautiful name for a beautiful person. My name is Cody.
