There he sat, in his armchair. He held a cigarette in one hand, a Dr. Pepper occupied the other. His tinted glasses perched on his nose, and a devilish smirk was formed on his lips. He looked almost... sinister.

The young blonde took a deep breath.

This was her chance to prove herself. She had to keep this job as long as possible. Unlike her last job...

"Good Morning, Mr. Lennon." she said with a smile. John's smirked faded, and it was replaced by a questioning expression. "There is nothing 'good' about this morning." he slurred out.

"Oh, but sir," Diana exclaimed, "it's a nice, sunshiny day."

"Nothing shiny about it." he retorted. Diana sighed, and opened the window. "Unless you want me to tell you a parable, you'll get up out of that chair and you'll be happy."

John signed, "Being happy isn't that easy when you're me."

"But you're John Lennon! How could you not be happy? You have everything anyone could dream of!" Diana gasped.

"You see," said he, "that's just the problem. I have everything I could want. But now there is nothing to want. All I can do now is hide. Hide from the shame and guilt."

Diana felt tears. She reached out, and touched his shoulder. "John... I've loved you to bits since I was a teenager. And I'll still love you to bits. I'm here to assist you and to help you. Now, will you take a shower and get dressed?"

John gave her a small smile, "Alright."
