Athena's POV
I woke up to my phone ringing. "Hello?" I asked groggily. "We have a case and we need you here." Don's voice said through the phone. "Be there in a bit." I got up and ran to the office. "Did you seriously run here?" David asked me. I nodded making him laugh. "I don't live that far away!" I complained. That's when a guy came in with Megan. "Oh my..." He said Megan looked at him. "What is it?" She asked him I looked at her confused. " May I speak to you in private?" I looked at Megan them back to the man. "Sorry sir,but no" I said and then Charlie walked in. "Love is great then all I see.." The man said looking at Charlie then back to me. I stopped dead in my tracks. "I'm sorry what?" Charlie asked the man. "Its nothing Charlie!"I said a little to loud and walked away. How the hell did that man know?! The truth was, I have had a slight crush on Charlie Epps since I started hearing and seeing him lecture. I was a student and I knew that there was no way that would ever happen. Even though I was 26 and he was 30. I sighed and smacked my head agents my desk. "Ow" I moaned, I could her Don laugh. "Shut it!" I looked at Don and sighed. He explained to me that I would stick here and do paper work for this case getting all the victim's things filed as he and the others tried to catch the killer. "What did he say to you that got you so upset?" Megan came over and asked. I laughed lightly " I am not upset just simply frustrated." I explained to her. She informed me who the guy was and it made more since now. After a few hours of talking to her I heard charlie yelling and ranting. "You seem like your in a great mood." Charlie looked at me and sighed. "Love" I could hear the mans voice in my head. "Athena are you okay?" Charlie asked putting his hand on my shoulder. I looked up at him, "Yeah just thinking is all." I told him trying really hard not to blush.
2 days later........,.
They caught the killer and I guess the victims were smuggling drugs into the U.S "Athena Wanna come over for dinner you have worked your butt of,doing the paper work."Don asked I smiled and nodded. After we got to the house I could smell the food as I walked in. "Hello Alan." I smiled at him he looked happy to see me. "Athena its good to see you." He said. Charlie came running down stairs and grabbed my hand taking me to the garage. " Sorry to kinda steal you,but can you help me grade these before we eat?" Charlie asked giving me the cutest smile. Oh dear god shut up Athena! "Sure give me half." I said he did and it was really easy grading the papers. I had one left when Charlie asked me if I was done. "I am now." I said smiling at him. He grabbed my hand and we walked back inside. "What were you two doing?" Alan asked with a raised eyebrow. "Grading papers." Charlie said. Don came in and looked at our hands. I realized we still had ahold of each others. Charlie looked down and let go immediately.
After dinner Charlie agreed to take me home and he did. " Thanks for the ride." I told him heading to the door. He walked me up to my porch. "Its not a problem" he said. I smiled and kissed his cheek before walking in my house. "Good Night Professor Epps." Before he could respond I closed the door.
Charlie's POV
She kissed me cheek and walked into her house. " Good night Professor Epps." She said and before I could say anything she shut the door. My heart was racing and I got in the car and smiled to myself. When I got back home I went straight to my room. I got changed and laid in bed. I smiled even wider and touched my cheek where she kissed me. I had sighed thinking about today. She was my student it was very inappropriate to have a relationship like that,but she was 26 is it really that bad? I feel asleep thinking of how to solve this irritating problem.
