IM SORRY I HAVENT UPDATED IN A WHILE!! I got busy with things.
Jack nodded and they continued running.
-
They walked down a dirt/gravel road. They are lost and are trying to find directions back to LA. This was going to take forever.
It's been about a day since the virus spread to Utah. They never found Bob or Wade yet(EH!). Marks actually quite surprise they survived this long.
Jack gripped onto the first aid kit tightly and walked as close as he could to Mark, their shoulders touching occasionally.
"Finally!" Mark started to speed up once a gas station was in sight.
Jack groaned, quietly and ran next to Mark.
Once they reached the gas station Mark looked through the window to see if anyone or anything was in there. He didn't see anything so he assumed it was fine.
They both walked inside and Mark began grabbing as much as he could.
Jack hopped up on the counter and rested his feet. "My fucking feet are killing me!"
Mark looked on the shelves and grabbed chips, beef jerky and water. He stuffed it in the bag and struggled to zip it up once it was full of supplies.
"Let's go." Mark began heading towards the door.
"Mark..." Jack said quietly, but loud enough for him to hear.
"What?" Mark spun around and looked at Jack.
"Come 'ere...." Jack motioned for Mark to come.
Mark furrowed his eyebrows and walked over to Jack.
"Is that... Bob and Wade?" Jack pointed out the window.
Mark looked at the two men walking across the street. "Oh my god it is!"
Mark swung the glass door open and started running towards them. "BOB! WADE!!"
They turned around and saw Mark.
"Mark?!" Wade yelled and ran over to his friend.
Mark lunged forward and almost tackled Wade in a hug.
Bob joined the hug as well.
Jack stood awkwardly next to the three men hugging.
Mark looked behind him and grabbed the front of jacks shirt and pulled him into the hug.
Jack laughed quietly and they all hugged for about thirty seconds.
"Where we're you guys heading?" Mark asked, fixing his shirt.
"I don't know... We were just kinda trying to find a place to rest." Bob motioned down the road. "Someone told us a small town would be down this way. They said it was abandoned before the apocalypse so there should be little to no zombies."
Mark nodded and smiled, turning towards Jack.
-
They've been walking down the road for about an hour and the heavy backpack on marks shoulders was killing his back.
"Hey, I think I see it!" Jack announced loudly, startling the group.
Jack jogged ahead of the group and towards the small town in the distance.

Jack walked up on the porch of the closest house. He house was small, it's blue paint was peeling off the sides of the house.
Jack looked inside the window. He saw something brown quickly pass the window, he couldn't quite tell what it was. "Guys?" Jack backed away from the window.
Once they all caught up with Jack Mark sat on a rocking chair on the porch and set the backpack beside him.
"Guys..." Jack said again.
"Yes?" Bob sat down on another chair.
"There's something in there.." Jack looked at them nervously.
"Wanna check it out?" Mark asked, looking over at Bob and Wade.
Bob and Wade nodded.
"No!" Jack looked at Mark like he was crazy.
They ignored him and stood up.
Mark opened the door, that was surprisingly open.
They creeped inside and looked around the house.
Jack walked close beside Mark, their arms touching.
Jack felt something grab his hand. He realized it was Mark.
"Mark? What are-"
Jack was cut off by Mark squeezing his hand. "You looked scared... I just wanted to make you feel safe."
Jack blushed and his heart melted. "Thanks.."
Mark smiled and continued walking around the house.
Jack couldn't lie, he wanted to be scared around Mark more often.
