It was a cool night in Asgard and a loving father, Thor, was telling a story to his two-year-old daughter Aqua. "A long time ago there were ten realms living in peace, but one day the king Sordon of the Ordins wanted to rule all of the ten realms, our great-grandfather Bor went to King Sordon and told him bad things would happen if he continued, but he didn't listen. So great-grandfather Bor had no choice but to destroy the whole realm, as for King Sordon he was never seen from again. Peace was now brought back to the rest of the nine realms. The end."
Thor looked down at his baby girl and realized she was fast asleep. He took the blue, teardrop necklace off of her neck, kissed her on her forehead, then placed Aqua in her crib. The necklace she was wearing was given to her on the day she was born by Thor and his wife Jane to celebrate her birth. Thor had said the necklace would keep Aqua safe.
Thor tiptoeing, left his daughter's room and exited to the hall, where his wife was waiting for him. "Another one your bedtime stories?" Asked Jane. "As always," Thor replied.
A royal guard, half walking and half running, comes down the hallway and says, "Odin requests your presents or once." "I'll go see what he wants," says Thor to his wife as he turns to leave. Thor and the royal guard raced down the hallways to meet Odin and see what was going on.
When Thor and the guard arrived Odin and Heimdall were already there along with Lady Sif and the warriors three, who were all talking rapidly at once. "How has he even returned?" Asked Lady Sif urgently. "What's our defense plan my king?" Asked Fandral, who is always wondering what their strategy is or plan of attack. "What's going on?" Thor said in a loud booming voice as he entered the room.
Odin turned to his son and said, "Thor, Heimdall has just told me that King Sordon of the Ordins have been secretly forming an army and are heading this way for war." "What?" Said Thor in shock. "I thought your father Bor destroyed them long ago in The Great War?" "So did I," said Odin grimly. "But our enemy has returned with soldiers far greater then our own. We have little chance of survival. The women and children are evacuating to the other nine realms for sanctuary." That's when Lady Sif spoke up. "Apparently the Ordins have only declared war on Asgard and not any of the other nine realms, so the women and children will be safe there."
Thor looked at the faces of all his friends none of them had any hope in their eyes. That's when Thor heard a high pitched scream coming from some place within the kingdom's rooms. "That's Jane!" Thor said and ran out the room not hearing what Heimdall said, "They're already here."
Thor burst into Aqua's bedroom where he heard her crying and the clank of metal. There Thor saw Jane, holding Aqua, fall to the floor with a sword puncturing her chest. "Nooo!!!" Thor shouted with tears in his eyes and killed the man responsible for his wife's wound and soon death. "Jane speak to me," Thor said trying to hold her and Aqua. "It's going to be alright. Stay with me Jane." Jane looked up at her husband knowing this would be the last time she saw him and Aqua, but she had to give them their best chance. "Thor, take Aqua to Agent Coulson he'll keep her safe." Jane, breathing heavily, pulls out Aqua's necklace she grabbed from her nightstand before she was attacked and put it around her neck. "This will keep you safe," said Jane then she kissed her daughter's forehead . "I love you both so much," said Jane. Thor grabbed her hand just as the life left her eyes and she was gone. Thor cried while holding Aqua, then four guards came and took Jane. Thor saw the battle already starting as he flew out of the castle and to the Biofrost determined to keep the rest of his family safe.
When Thor arrived at the Biofrost, Heimdall was already there waiting for him. "I'm so sorry for your loss," said Heimdall with a deep voice. "Heimdall I need you to send me to Midgard. I need to see that my daughter is safe." "As you wish," he replied and stuck his sword into the center of the Biofrost where Thor and Aqua were soon taken to Midgard or Earth as we call it.
Thor and Aqua arrived at one of S.H.I.E.L.D's secure bases. People stared as Thor walked down the halls towards Agent Phil Coulson's office. Thor walked into the room and said, "Son of Coul I need you to keep my daughter Aqua until Asgard is safe for her to return again." Coulson looked at Thor and the baby he was holding and said, "I'm not the babysitting type of guy." "Jane is dead," Thor said not knowing what to do.
"I'm so sorry."
"I need you to watch her, please. I don't need her dead too. Jane's last words were for you to keep Aqua safe. Do whatever you have to do to insure her safety." Coulson looked at Aqua, "I'll do it, but in order to do that I have to hide her true identity from the world. That means she won't know who you are." Thor looked sad but agreed, he had to keep Aqua safe, she was the last thing he had left of Jane. Thor came over and kissed Aqua on her forehead. "I love you," he said. "And Son of Coul please keep her necklace safe and give it to her when she needs it." With that Thor left his daughter to be raised by an agent of S.H.I.E.L.D., hoping one day to see her again.
