Chapter 40: Surprise

On 5th August:

Shehry's P.O.V:

"Good morning" I said and they smile "Good morning" manahil, neha, mom and hussain replied. I wait for them to wish me but no one did. "Good morning" maha came and sit besides me "good morning maha" I said and she smile looking at me. She didn't even remember my birthday "maha what date is today" I ask and she frown thinking "5th of August" she said and I nodded "and" I said and she blink at me "and 2015" she said and I face palmed. "Oh han bhai yaad aya" she sais and I smile wider

Yaad agay bachi ko...

"mujhe bookshop jana hai" she said and my smile vanished. "Hussain kay sath chali jao" I said and she shook her head "he is rude I won't go with him YOU will take me" she said and I huff "okay" I said and she grin. Manahil and neha putted everything on the table and came to sit. We eated breakfast and went out of the kitchen "bhai chalain na laykar" maha said and I nodded getting up. We went out of the house and sit in the car. "Which book shop" I ask and she look at me "Blue willow bookshop" she said and my eyes widened "it take 2 hours to reach there" I said and she shrug "so" she said and I sigh.

I drive for two hours and reach there. We went in the shop and maha was looking for what she need. "Come on maha hurry up" I said and she nodded still walking around. My phone ring and I took it out to see who was it.

S: bol waqas
W: kaha hai bhai
S: blue willow bookshop
W: kio?
S: maha ko kuch chahiye tha
W: acha acha chal theek hai phir baad mai baat karta hon
S: ok bye.

Isnay bhi wish nae kia sab mere birthday bhol gaye hain kia...

"Maha iam gonna leave you here come on hurry up" I said and she made a face "I know you won't" she said and I face palmed. "What do you want" I ask and she look at me "I can't find what I want" she said pouting and I sit down on the chair that was place there.

2 hours later:

"Maha come on kiddo hurry up" I said and she nodded "iam sitting here for past 2 hours" I said and she grin "mil gaya" she said and I sigh in relief "thank god" I said and she came "kia liya hai" I ask and he bring a...PENCIL. "you came all the way here to buy this" I ask and she nodded "you could even buy a pencil from brown bookshop" I said and she shook her head "only they have this pencil" she said and I made a face "come on lets pay for this" I said and we went towads the counter "how much for this" I ask and the lady look at me "1 dollar sir " she said and I look at maha who was standing there carelessly. I paid for it and we went out and sit in the car. "4 ghantay fazool kamo mai guzar diya" I said "kio apko koi kam tha" she ask and I face palm.

Kam to nae tha..

"Still" I said and start driving. We reach home after 2 hours and I look at the watch which struck 3 pm. I sigh and open the door. "Surprise" everyone shouted scaring the hell out of me "ahhhhhh" I shouted as well when they spray snow and other things on me and they laugh. "Hanslo hanslo" I said and they laughed more. Everyone was here. Atif, waqas, amna, aqsa, riaz uncle, razia aunty, nida aunty, kamran uncle, zeeyan, neha, manahil, hussain, mom, dad. "You guys remember my birthday" I ask and they made a face "how can we forget" waqas said and hug me "happy birthday bro" he said and I grin "thank you" I said and one by one everyone wished me. "Okay cake time now" manahil said and we nodded. She bring a chocolate cake with happy birthday curve on it and two flowers at the side.

"Wow" I said and girls giggle "neha nay banaya hai" manahil said elbowing me and I blush a little "ehm okay now here you go" manahil handed me the knife and I was about to cut it when she stopped me "bari jaldi hai candles to laganay dain" she said and I smile "21 na" she ask and i nodded. "21 candles to a nae sakti to hum 5 candles laga dete hain" she said and start putting the candles. She light the candle with lighter and told me to make a wish.

Allah manahil or hussain ko phir say ek karde...

I open my eyes and blow the candles "Happy birthday to you" they sing and I start cutting the cake "happy birthday dear shehry happy birthday to you" they ended and I pick a piece and bring it infront of mom and she took a bite than dad,neha, hussain, manahil, waqas, aqsa, atif, amna, zeeyan and at the last maha. "You were involved in all this" I ask and she grin "I was" she said and I ruffle her hairs. "Here" manahil bring a piece and I open my mouth. Instead of putting it in my mouth she put it on my face. My eyes were wide open and she was laughing. I saw zee telling me to keep quiet and he put the cake on her face from behind "Ahhhhh bhai" manahil said and he run away. Manahil pick a piece and throw it towards zee but he bend down and a gasp was heard from behind him.

We look at the back and saw hussain standing there with close eyes. I look at manahil who had her both hands placed on her mouth. He open his eyes and we point at manahil he pick a piece as well and throw but manahil pulled waqas infront of her and his face was black now. She laugh standing behind him "wow! Do I look like a shield" he said and we all laugh and like this the cake fight start and when it ended our eyes were wide seeing the mess that we made in the living room. "Chalo bacho saaf karo" manahil said running upstairs and our jaw drop. We clean the whole living room laughing, talking, pushing eachother. Manahil came down with different clothes and clean face "help kardo" neha said ans she nodded helping us.

After cleaning we went in our rooms to wash our faces. I came out of washroom and saw neha standing there wiping her face with tissue. I went behind her and wrapped my arms around her waist. "Happy birthday" she said again and I put my chin on her shoulder "I love you" I said and look at her who was smiling "I love you too" she said and I turn her around. My eyes went down to her lips and saw a little chocolate there. I lean in and my lips were placed on hers now. While kissing her I lick the chocolate as well and move back. Her cheeks were crimson red "mmm taste good more sweet" I said and she slap my arm making me chuckle.

I let her go and she went in the washroom to wash her face. I went downstairs and saw everyone talking while sitting on the sofa. Neha came down as well and I wink at her making her blush "ehm ehm" someone clear throat and I saw manahil rubbing her forehead while smiling. I chuckle and she chuckle as well shaking her head. After some time girls went in the kitchen to cook and we boys were talking with our parents. Hours pass in laughing, talking, pulling eachothers leg. We all eated dinner together and later everyone went home. We also went in our rooms and changed our clothes. After changing we lay down and drift off.
