Chapter 17: The future is ahead of us

Lloyd's POV

After we finally found a way off the dark island we flew towards Ninjago city. I was in the first spinjitzu master's mech and the others were on the ultra-dragon."look!I see something!" Jay yelled "is that..." cole started "yes..Ninjago city" my uncle Wu answered "it looks so...black" Kai said "doesn't matter guys!we can do this!" i said as i sped up ahead of the rest and landed once i saw Dareth trying to scare off a stone warrior "I'm warning you!step aside or I'll unleash the power of the dragon!" he warned 'pffft as if dareth" i thought. the stone warrior just growled at his warning and was about to attack him and dareth yelled like...a girl..surprisingly."get away from him!" i yell as i use the giant sword in the mech's hand to move it away from Dareth the so called 'brown ninja'. "my hero!" he said as he did a happy dance "dareth not now!" i said then he stops "go help the people get away from the overlord" i said as i charged and attacked a swarm of stone warriors standing on the street since they were blocking my way.i start attacking them but as soon as I'm out-numbered the mech kinda..gets broken down.Then Kai, Cole, Jay, and Zane land and help me fight the warriors "NINJA-GO!" we all yell as we do our spinjitzu."where's the overlord?!" i ask as i keep fighting "I don't-hey look up there!" Cole says and we saw a huge black dragon with dark purple eyes shooting dark matter everywhere!"its the overlord's true form!the metamorphasis must have been completed." mom says as the ultra-dragon lands allowing my mom,my uncle Wu, and Dr.Julien to get off and help us fight."you go ahead ninja!" uncle Wu said "yeah we'll hold them back!" Dr.Julien said "go save your father Lloyd!" my mom said and I nod "we will" i say then Jay and Cole let me place my arms around their arms so i can walk due to my..broken leg apparently.We start to go up the stairs around the tall building the overlord was on, and i guess he notices us because he starts shooting his dark matter towards us.it was about to hit me but then Cole pushes me away allowing the dark matter to turn him dark "no cole!" i yell "you go on without me!" Jay says as he starts to fight Cole away from us. Zane and Kai support me and help me up but then we see "Nya!" Kai yells as he sees his sister on a dark matter launcher and she starts to shoot at us.Once again i get pushed away by Zane and he turns dark "Lloyd go on with out me!" kai yells "but we can defeat him if we do it together!" i say "no Lloyd..there's only one green ninja" he said and then i think about it and run up avoiding physical contact with my broken leg.I finally make it up and the overlord looks down at me.I see Kaila standing next to him."KAILA!" i yell hoping she'd hear me but she didn't and starts attacking me."stop this kaila this isn't you!" i say. "Kaila please!" i say still trying to make her snap out of it then i remember what happened back at campus..

*flash back*

  we both blush then got closer to each other...and without thought....we kissed!but something was off...while we were kissing a few pink sparks started appearing around us then we pull apart for air and because we wanted to see what the heck happened!"uh....what was happening?" i asked in a curious and confused tone "i don't know...you think its.." he said but i cut him "no it cant be!can it?" i said "yes it can.." a voice said and just with that me and Lloyd jumped slightly back and it turned out to be Sensei Wu. how long...have u been standing there...?" i asked "long enough" he said and Kaila blushed in embarrassment and i face palmed "so..was that what i think that was?" Kaila asked my uncle "yes..yes it was my dear" he answered "wow...so that was it...at least we know what it is now..." i said kinda unsure "yes now u just have to control it" he said. how will we do that exactly?!

*Le end of flashback*

'thats's it!' i thought."Kaila listen to me!i know you're in there!" i yell and her eyes start to flash purple then back to her regular aqua blue eyes and then..I lean in and kiss her.the overlord just stares at us smirking as if it won't work.i pull away and look deep into her eyes "i know you're in there..K" i said and the cold hard expression on her face turns to a happy and soft joyful expression as her eyes turn back to aqua blue "Lloyd I..I..I'm so sorry..I L-" but then i interrupt her "I love you too" she smiles at my words but then the overlord starts laughing "am i interrupting something..oh yeah..your doom!" he yells as he starts to prepare a strong blast of darkness."ready Kaila?" i ask "sure am!" she said and we hold hands and I start to glow golden and Kaila starts to glow bright blue."they have become the ultimate spinjitzu masters!" mom says from down below "this..is the final battle" my uncle says "get ready to meet.." i said "your doom!" kaila says as we start to power up a big power ball that was glowing so bright the overlord couldn't bear the light."argh!too..much..light!" he yells as he uses his wings to block his view then we shoot it at him..and the orb expands "NOOOOOO!" the overlord yells.

Kai's POV

I wake up in the middle of a huge flat hole...what happened to the building in the center?!then i hear another groan and i get alarmed.I turn around to see Nya back to her old self "NYA!" i heard jay yell "my sister!" i say as me and jay pull her into a hug " come here you tin can!" said Cole playfully "brother!" Zane said "did we actually win?!" Dr.Julien asked in shock "yes we did.." said sensei Wu "yeah but..what about Lloyd?" i ask and then we see a golden dragon land with Lloyd and.wait Kaila?! "Kaila you're okay!" Jay yelled as he hugs her but then he realizes..Lloyd and Kaila were holding hands.."ooooh so thats what was going on between you two" Jay said playfully punching Lloyd's shoulder."he he yeah..sorry i didn't tell you" Lloyd said "well at least everybody's okay" Cole said then Lloyd looks down sadly and i guess Kaila noticed too "Lloyd its okay....he will always be remembered" Kaila said and Misako places a re-assuring hand on his shoulder..then there was movement heard from the rubble behind us and we all turn around to see..Garmadon! "w..what happened?" he asked "dad?dad!" Lloyd yells and throws his arms around Garmadon and hugs him "every ounce of venom is..gone" Misako said as she joined the hug."Brother!" garmadon said as he walked to sensei wu "brother you're back!" sensei said "its good to be back!" garmadon said "dad..i want you to meet Kaila.." Lloyd said as he walked to Kaila "my-" but then jay interrupts "she's his girlfriend!!" jay says in a playful tone and garmadon just looked shocked "is this true son?" he asked "yes dad..she is my girlfriend" Lloyd said "welcome to the family kaila.." garmadon said as he shook her arm "thank you Garmadon...thank you.." she answered as garmadon places his hands around misako and lloyd and walks away "awww family reunited..think we should dog pile them?" jay asked and kaila playfully hit his head for his comment "nah..they earned their moment" i said "its been quite a ride fellas"Cole said "I liked being a ninja!its not like we can't use what we've learned in our journey for our lives" he said "yeah Cole's right!we might have one today..but there's always tomorrow" i said

{AAAAND thats it for this book XD of course i have already planned a sequel and am really excited to publish it!hope you enjoyed this book!even though the chapters were kinda short..anyways expect a sequel by this week!...toodles  :3}
