Chapter 1

    I ran out of the city when dawn began to break. I left the intruder's limp body where it was. I had no idea I was capable of this. The grass was soggy. They're gonna suspect that someone bad was around. This was not a good feeling. I'm too innocent! I dashed through the forest, kicking up leaves. I had just recently I had these abilities, to shapeshift. When I was younger, I felt different from the rest of the humans. On nights where there were no clouds in the sky I would get Cat ears and a tail. It has now turned into something much worse now, changing me during the day instead of the night only. I think it is getting worse as well. Depending on the animal, it's now changing my instincts! My spine chilled, as I thought about my future. I paced forward and turned back to see the faint silhouette of the city.
        The sun was high but the wispy clouds covered most of it up. Fall was definitely here. I kept walking because I knew that they are after me. They think I'm their biggest threat. If they were after me I had to get going. I strolled a bit faster. The breeze was cold on my face. Leaves danced around in the wind, twirling, and flying to new places. That's exactly what I will have to do to. Find a new place. A new part of this world where humans don't know who I am. I'm sure if they find that man's body they will be all on the search for me. It will probably be on the main Korea News channel. My father used to watch it. Until he died in a car accident. I try not to think about it 'cause he was the only one that I really knew that loved me. I don't know where my mother went because she disappeared after she had me. I don't like thinking about my family because I miss them.
I can't let my feelings be consumed because of last nights incident. If so, it will happen again and I can't afford that.
