Dazed and Unknown

IV.

I am currently staring at the ceiling of my room it was purely white with hint of cream colors. We are living in a penthouse and the view is exquisite, I had been thinking what to do for this day.

Soft knock from the door cut me off from thinking.

"Lian wake up" I leaped off my bed and went to the door barefooted.

"Why?" I am yawning ang one of my eyes are still closed when I opened the door

"Just want to tell you that --" she stopped talking and stared at me

"Lian" oh-o I know that smile something is happening and I know I won't like it

I saw a man walking behind Seiph holding some documents as if approaching her to ask for something that should be answered immediately

"Seiph I'm sorry I really have to know what this values stands for?"

Seiph turned her head towards the man while I am rooted to my position not aware what to react

The man stared at us and whispered as if embarassed "I'm sorry, I didnt mean too" I was thinking why should he when I should be the one to feel that, I was in my nighties, no brasshier, hair standing everwhere, barefooted I dont even know if I have something on my eyes or remains of drool on my mouth, I know so unlady-like. Just perfect really.

"Yep that, I wanted to tell you that"

"Thankyou, the timing is perfect" I sigh

I showered and do what other girls do in prep. I made my way to the kitchen

"Umm Hi" The man approached me, I haven't seen him before

As if reading my mind on cue he held his hand towards me "I am Jaimme John Trevos nice meeting you" Trevos hmn I see he is Seiph' boss

"Lian Anne Dev, likewise" I smiled at him and held out my hand "I'm glad to be your companion"

I smiled at him "likewise, i'll prepare you a breakfast knowing Seiph she musnt have thought of that" I turned from him then opened the cabinets to prepare breakfast

"I thought of it" Jaimme chuckled at Seiphs defensive answer, i didnt know she heard that

I grabbed the pans, egg and milk "Good for you then" I smiled at her

"I just didnt know how to cook and Mr. Trevos, I had finished some of the paperworks can you check sir"

"Haha Seiph how many times do I have to tell you call me Jaimme"

He turned around and went back to all of his works

"So? Not embarass are you? Seems like you have forgetten already that he had seen too much of your skin hahaha" and right then I remembered again the scene

"You are really born to make my life miserable and why are you guys even doing this in our place? Are you interested in your boss?" She laughed "come on Lian im not! All of the materials are in here and im to lazy to send it all to the office and put it back here again thats such a hussle and you knowing me" I looked at her in defeat "I know too well, its good that he accepted that kind of proposal" she snap her finger in my face "who can resist me my gal?" "Too funny" cicling the kitchen to grab a glass of water "I just told him this way is more convinient and its not bad to work in diff place for a change" she looked at me while drinking from her glass then She laughed and grabbed some apple.

I gave them each a plate of egg souffle and pancake that I had made

"Wow what is this it was delicious, it taste like the one we always had from that restaurant"

"Restaurant?" Seiph is filling her mouth

"Yeah. Sky Insallata"

"Well actually it dont taste alike it was exactly the same" Seiph stand to grabbed a glass of orange juice

"Alike?"

"Yeah she own that place"

"That was a very famous restaurant, you were such a great cook Lian. Huh where is she?"

"Maybe on the balcony painting"

"You've got some talented friend there"

"Yeah but she's a handful" Seiph sigh remembering all the past events when they are younger

"I can imagine"

Lian was on the balcony sketching while listening to music when she received a message

I laughed a bit from her message and stretch my upper limb. I guess I'll fill her up today.

I went to my room and changed clothes. Black knee ripped pant, white thin loose long sleeve, black martens boots & I let down my hair in a wavy curl, grabbed my stuff and went out

"Woah whats with the get up?" Seiph stared at me

"Just wearing stuff from my cabinet"

"Okay. Date?" Seiph looks tentatively curious

"I heared a date, Lian? And here I am planning on introducing my bestfriend to you" Jaimme suddenly pop by my side holding his phone

I sigh "I'm going to the restaurant"

"Woah date in your own restaurant this is a first time, I need to meet him"

"Im sorry to crush your imagination but no. Anne is sick I have to fill in"

"Aww thought I've finally got the chance to see my little baby grow"

"Haha funny. Bye guys. Call me if you need anything"

"You might see my daughter there"

"Daughter?"

"I hope to see her" I went out the door and drived to the restaurant
