TOGETHER, Forever...
Chapter one:
ISABELLEThe wind caressed my face, while I glanced out the open window. My eyes were fixated on one thing: a ship docked up in the harbour. It's not the luxurious metal or sails that captured my attention, but the name. It said: Hope. The name didn't remind of hope for success. It reminded me of hope for returning to my old life. With my friends. But that'll never change, because deep down, a part of me knows that this is where I'll be stuck in for a while. Valley View High school. It was a new year and my very first year in high school. I still couldn't believe that summer has gone past already.
HOPE gave me a reason to believe that I might see them again. They were the best friends anyone could ever hope for. They'd stand up for you until the very end. My eyes scanned the ship up and down. The ship would fulfil your needs. No matter who you were. They never JUDGED you.
I looked away from the ship and scanned my bedroom. It was plain and simple. Light blue sheets and duvets sat on top of my bed and a painting of my late father hung on the wall. He was very ambitious and brave. Nothing stood in his way, except a lethal bomb of course. I'll never forget the look on my mother's face.
I looked at my clock and realised that it was about time I get ready for school.
"Isabelle, honey? It's time to get ready for school." Mother called.
"Alright, Mom." I sighed and faced the mirror. I saw a very selfless girl who has a bunch of caring friends. She was very pretty, but deep down, she was an emotional mess. That girl was me.
I took out my school uniform which consisted of a plain blue skirt and a white top and long white socks. As usual, the shoes were black and smart.
I brushed my hair, not bothering to tie it up properly.
"I guess I'm ready." I muttered. I looked exactly like what I am. A mess.
I walked out of my room, and to my horror, a school bus pulled up on our driveway.
"You didn't tell me that this year I'll be going by bus!" I gasped at my mother who was getting ready for work.
"I have no time, dear. I just have a lot of work going on." Mother said.
"But I could have gone walking!" I argued. I hated school buses because the kids were so obnoxious and normally picked on others and I'm not ready for that yet.
BEEP!
I whirled around and saw the bus driver gesturing for me to hurry up.
"Go on, Isabelle, dear. The bus is waiting." Mother urged. I sighed and irritably rolled my eyes. I was not going to let this slide easily. I clutched my bag tighter and exited my house, inhaling the polluted air around me.
The doors slid open and I saw many pupils staring at me like I had just committed a murder. I sighed and made my way to the back of the bus, where only the losers sit, according to them.
The driver glared at me and shut the doors. I was sure I'd make new friends but nothing could ever replace my old ones. They were just too special. Sure, they're near the area but we just grew apart. And growing apart from friendships are not what I like best.
The ride went as smooth as I actually had expected it to be. The students weren't that bad but occasionally I would hear people mention 'new girl'. But when I scanned the crowd of students, I recognised one boy. He looked much older and surprisingly similar to one of my very best friends.
I couldn't take my eyes off him but apparently he saw me looking at him. He smirked a devilish smirk and I immediately looked away. I wanted to say 'are you auditioning for a villain? Because if you were, you'd totally get it.' But I didn't.
Apparently when I want to say something I mutter, and the boy noticed. I sighed as he slid down on the seat next to me.
"You know, you look so familiar. But I don't know why. Do you have a sister or anything?" He asked, pursing his lips.
I shuddered and all the blood drained from my face.

TRISTANThe girl next to me went blank. I knew she had something to say but she was afraid to say it. I knew the feeling. But I didn't really want to get obsessed with someone I think I knew, so I looked away. I felt her eyes scan me but I just got up and walked over to my own gang of friends before she said anything that I had a feeling would change my life. I felt like my best friend, Dimitri was the best distraction. I had a feeling that a piece of my past has returned.
"Anyways, good luck with this school." I said as I stood up to sit with Dimitri, who flashed me a million dollar smirk. He looked at me, like he was trying to debate whether to question what just happened or to let it slide. Apparently, he decided to shut his trap, and look away.
I get temperamental, that's why. I'm a dude with the shortest temper anyone has ever come across.
"Dude, she's staring at you." Dimitri whispered. I slowly allowed my eyes to soar over to hers. They met mine and they locked for a second before I looked away. I could feel her staring through my soul.
I finally just gave in and sat down, fiddling with the straps of my bag, waiting for the school bus to reach school, but to everyone's surprise, we pulled up at another house.
There was another new student.
______________
ISABELLE
I was really surprised when the bus pulled up at on other student's house. I thought we were on our way to school already.
The bus driver honked to indicate that he was waiting.
BEEP!
I winced at the loud sound.
A few seconds later, a girl with blonde hair and sea green eyes emerged from her house, resembling a mouse by how timid she looked. My stomach churned as the bus door opened and she scanned the students who were sitting, now instead of chatting, were staring at her. They gave her the same look they gave me; as if she was the one who killed Hamlet's father.
But of all the students, of all the popular students in this bus, she walked over to me, with her amazing green eyes shimmering like they were in the spotlight.
"Is this seat taken?" She softly asked. I shook my head. She gracefully sat down on the chair next to me, and pulled out her earbuds and started listening to Rock music. She flashed me a bright smile, before becoming immersed in the music's world.
I realised my mouth was slightly opened in an o position, and my eyes went to greet the boy's; the one who claimed I might have had a sister, because I looked so familiar.
He had the same o expression. His eyes met mine, and I knew he was thinking the same thing as I was.
Maybe...Maybe there is a little hope for finding my friends.
