RACHEL
I coughed violently. My concentration in class faltered. I couldn't keep up, and I didn't know what was happening to me.
"Rachel? Are you okay?" The teacher asked. Luckily Isabelle and Dimitri weren't here.
My heart was thumping so violently that for a moment it was the only thing I heard.
Then...nothing.

ISABELLE
I heard sirens around the whole school. My ears were strained. I didn't expect an ambulance...what was going on?
The door burst open and the principal came in, whispering something in our teacher's ear.
Her eyes widened and tears flowed down her cheeks.
"What's going on?" I demanded. "What is going on?" I ordered.
"Take a seat. I'll be right back-"Isabelle, Dimitri and Tristan are required in the ambulances." The principal stated. I didn't pack my things. I just ran out the corridor.
Nurses carried a stretcher outside and I saw a girl on it. I wasn't sure of who it was but I prayed I was wrong.
Dimitri was being escorted out with Tristan by a police officer. He gestured for me to follow them.
He told us to get into the car and he shut it. Firmly once we were in. I was shaking violently.
"WHAT'S GOING ON?" Dimitri bellowed. I choked back a sob.
"I cannot say. You'll find out later. Right now, my job is to escort you to the hospital." He snapped.
He switched the sirens on as we zipped past the highway at full speed barely missing a car.
"Isabelle...it's going to be okay..." Tristan said, his voice shaking.
Dimitri was pale.
"It was Rachel..." He choked.

We reached and we were thrown into the waiting room. Rachel's mother was there, wailing. Her face was red and her eyes were puffy.
"RACHEL!" I screamed but I couldn't go anywhere. I had to wait and watch as they pushed the stretcher into the emergency room.

*twenty minutes later*
Nothing yet.
"Please let her be okay." I was crying so hard that I was hiccuping. My chest heaved up and down as I thought of the despair I would have to go through if...no. Don't think like that.
The doctors came out, with one nurse in tears.
"RACHEL." I screamed. They entered the waiting room. I ran over to one doctor, and clutched his coat.
"Tell me. Where is she?!" I desperately asked. He took my hands in his.
"She's....she's dead."
My heart shattered as I screamed all the agony out.
"No. No. No. NO! NO!" I screamed. Dimirti was escorted out to calm down and the doctors rushed to me with an injection in hand.
"Don't touch me!" I shrieked.
No.
No.
NO!

The funeral was sorrowful. I kept staring at the casket which was black as Night.
I clutched Isabelle closer to me.
Nobody was going to take her away from me. Nobody.
