13. All she did was Plead

On Monday was my first day back after the incident. I still have that black eye Jordan gave me. And of course the gang thinks its sorta funny that an 8th grade beat the crap out of me. But they don't know the reason why I didn't hit her back.

"Kathrine if you mind would you stop following me?" I asked while shutting my locker door.

"What why would I follow you?"

"Guilty as charged."

"Lesli please try it out then if you're comfortable then join."

"Join what?" Asked Zach hugging me from behind.

"Singing club."

"Have you heard Lesli's voice it's soft and natural." Said Kathrine leaning up against Ty's locker.

"Um Kathrine can I have my locker back?" Asked Ty

"Whoops sorry. Wait how did you know that I was Kathrine and not Lesli?"

"Lesli has brow hair you got blond." Said Ty shitting his locker and walking away.

'Ring' 'Ring'

"At least reconsider?"

"Lets go Zach or else Mrs. Tinsel will kill us if we're late."

Damit that Kathrine! I'm actually reconsidering it. But I can't help thinking what bad is gonna happen. I know I'm not suppose to think negative but us humans just naturally do that.

"Ms.Guram?"

"Uh, Yes!"

"Answer the question on the board."

"Um A?"

"Correct, but next time no guessing."

"Yes ma'am."

'Ring' 'Ring'

It was second period and Mrs. Lola was assigning partners for are 'BIG' project. I know some where in my heart that I didn't get partnered with Isaac. But as that saying goes 'be careful what you wish for or it's gonna come back and bite you.'

"Kathrine & Ty, Lucas & Zachary, Lesli & Isaac."

Zachary spun around and I swear are jaws dropped on the floor.

"Oh and Lesli you'll be assigned to and adult helper."

"What?"

"Ya everybody does." Said Ty

She called out everybody's adult helper.

"Ty & Kathrine you get Jade. Zachary & Lucas you get Huron. Last Isaac & Lesli you get Ethan."

"What!"

"It's a pleasure" miss Lola giggled.

"You guys will be doing a project on the arts of singing."

"Yes finally. Sorry L but you can't get out of this one." Said Kathrine

"L?"

"Ethan what the hell are you doing here?"

"Just finding something to do on my vacation." He said with a small smirk.

"So you have to ,do something' at MY school?"

"Yep"

"Seriously?"

"So why did Kathrine call you L?"

"Login used to call me that."

"Ms.Guram will you demonstrate for the class."

"Demonstrate what?"

"You're singing! If you do this you assignment will have a higher grade."

My heart suddenly stopped. The only word came out was "Hell no!"

"Yes you will now come up!"

I walked to the front of the class and stared

"What do I sing?"

"Tired by Adele."

"Hold my hand

When I finished I was shocked and shaken. I finally had the courage to sing not in front of my friends but my intire class. Kathrine was right. I should 'try' it out.

"Waaaa!" Screamed the class
