After detention which ended at four thirty. I was on my way home until my phone rang.

The weird part is that I've never heard this ring tone before. I hesitated then accepted the call.

"Hello." 

"Umm Maverick. It's Arianna."

I was so excited I felt the butterflies in my stomach.

"Yeah."

"I'm sorry for blowing you off, you were being sweet and all.I thought you should get a second chance."

"Okay we'll meet up at the mall at five, and we probably get to know eachother better."

" Sounds like a plan, hotstuff."

She hung up and left me thinking.

'Hotstuff? That's what im talking about.'

I got on the bus home.

I got in my house sprinted to my room. I had to freshen up.

But then I realized something how did Arianna get my phone number?

I sat on my bed and thought.

Maybe mom told her. And so I asked.

"Mom did you give anybody my phone number?"

"No why?'

"No reason."

The next theory I had was that maybe Eve tried to get back together with me. 

I was flustered with rage. I went looked through my phone's caller I.d, but it said "Unknown". Idecided not to go. I know it's her, she  probably used her friends phone or something.

Later than I receivied a call, It said unknown. I didn't hesitated this time I accepted and cut right to the chase."

"I know it's you Eve what do you want?"

" Oh so you found out." She started laughing."I knew you were smart but I didn't realize you would figure this out."

"What are you talking about and whose phone were you using, I have my phone set up to ignore your calls."

She paused then spoke,"Why don't you ask her?"

The phone crackled," Maverick help me please she's crazy. She's holding  me captive."

She sounded like she was so scared and the way she told me no doubt she was in trouble.

"Arianna just hold on tight I'll be there with the cops in no time."

She snickered,"uh ah uh I don't think so, If you do that she dies and I'll send you her finger if you dont believe me."

She's crazy,"Okay I believe you,  just don't hurt her."

"You know what Maverick." She said." Your pathetic, she blew you off some many times yet you still care for her."

"I guess that's what happens when your in love." I said

"What ever meet me at the mall. It's almost five."

I got dressed really quickly and left the house, i went to the garage to get my motorcycle.

I got it for my birthday last year, I have a license but I never actually drove it. Until now.
