It was way too early to be awake at this hour of the morning, especially for me, but I had no choice unless I wanted to deal with my mom once the school calls to say I had skipped class yet again. I let out a frustrated groan as I rolled out of bed and stood up on the cold hard wood floor. It was early October and in Rosewood that meant it was nearly time for it to start snowing, hence the reason the floor was so cold. I walked over to my dresser and found my pink hairbrush sitting on top and began to brush my shoulder length blonde hair away from my face. I watched myself in the mirror, smiling at how much I loved these warm, cozy pajama's. But when I realized what day it was, I sighed. Monday, which meant back to school yet again after a nice relaxing weekend.

I walked over to my closet and picked out a pair of dark washed skinny jeans with a rip in the knee and a white dressy shirt and got dressed. Like most days I had already been running late, so I quickly did my makeup and then rushed down the stairs to grab my bag and car keys. I was surprised to see my mom had already left for work, but I didn't have time to think about that now. I grabbed an apple from the fridge, a water bottle, and then picked up my bag and rushed out into the cool, crisp autumn air. As I got to my car, I glanced down the street to see if Aria had left yet, because if she did I knew I would definitely be late. Aria was always on time for things, so I wasn't surprised when I saw her grey Honda Civic was already gone. I shook my head and got into my car and started up the engine, speeding onto the street and on my way to school.

"Ms. Hanna Marin, you're late again. This is the second time in a row, you know what comes next." Mr. Shore said as I entered my physics class almost twenty minutes late. I just nodded my head and quickly found a seat and rolled my eyes as I looked down at the desk. I didn't even really care about this class, I was just put in this class because the class I originally wanted to take was already full.

"Psst." I heard someone say from behind me. I whipped around and saw the annoying kid who sat behind me every day in this class trying to get someone else's attention, all the way on the other side of the room. I rolled my eyes again and this time as I turned back around in my seat, I was faced with Mr. Shore standing in front of my desk, giving me a glare.

"Hanna, you're already late. I think it's appropriate for you to at least look like you're interested in this class instead of turning around and disrupting others from doing their work." He said sternly. I went to open my mouth and defend myself, but he just gave me a look which meant "I don't want to hear it," so I just took my binder out and flipped to a fresh sheet of paper. I began writing down what was written down on the board and answered as many of the questions as I could before pulling out my phone to check the time. Thank god this class was almost over, I had a study period next so I could basically do what I wanted, which involved not studying most times. The bell rang and I quickly gathered my things together and put them in my bag. I hurried out into the busy hallway and began walking to my locker which was up on the third floor, and god I hated walking up those stairs everyday.

"Watch where you're going!" I exclaimed when a boy bumped into me, almost knocking my phone out of my hand as I hit the lockers with my shoulder. "Maybe if you cut your hair you'd see where you're going." I said when I got a better look at him.

"Woah, you must be one of the popular girls," he said putting his hands up in surrender. "I will be sure to stay away from now on, so sorry for trying to get to my class." He said sarcastically making me roll my eyes once again this morning. I didn't have time to say anything else before he walked away and I continued on to my locker. I hadn't seen him before, or maybe I did and I never had a reason to notice him.

"Spencer!" I called when I saw her walking not far in front of me. She stopped and turned around and smiled when she saw it was me. "Do you have study period right now?"

"I normally would but I told my Advanced English teacher I'd come in to do some extra work, we will all meet up after this class for lunch though!" She said with a smile. "Did you need something?"

"No I don't have anything to work on today so I thought we'd go out for frozen yogurt or something, it's okay you go to English!" I said with a smile. She smiled back, telling me once again how she'd see me at lunch before running off to her class. I finally got to my locker and put in the combination, then opened it up to put my physics textbook inside as well as my binder. I felt like today was going to be long, I had to basically spend this whole study period alone in the cafeteria, great.

I walked down to the end of the hallway where the stairs were and made my way to the busy cafeteria. Even when it wasn't lunch, you always saw lots of people down here. I found a table near the back and say down and took out my phone. Much to my surprise I had no texts at all, making me sigh. I was absolutely bored. I decided I should probably catch up on my reading for English class, so I found the book I was reading in my bag and decided to read, no matter how much of a loser I appeared to be compared to all of the loud, obnoxious people in here.

I got about halfway through my book by the time I heard the lunch bell ring and I put my book in my bag and waited impatiently for my friends to come join me at the table. The first one I spotted was Aria, who was carrying a big poster, my guess for Homecoming in two weeks.

"Aria!" I waved to her. When she caught my eye, she smiled and mouthed "I'll be right back" before walking down toward the gymnasium. Then I spotted Spencer who must've already saw me and was almost to our table.

"Finally, God I can't wait to eat. This sandwich is practically calling my name." She said as she sat down across from me. "I can't even wait for the others to come, I'm starving." She said as she dug through her bag, pulling out a grocery bag with food in it. She dumped it on the table and immediately went for the sandwich, I couldn't tell what kind because it was inclosed in a small zip lock back.

"Do you mind if I have one of those?" I asked when I saw the container with three cookies in it. She looked at me with a playful smile before pushing it over to my end. As I bit into the chocolate chip cookie, Aria, Ali and Emily joined us and sat down.

"It's only Monday and I already want the weekend to come," Emily said with a sigh. She was especially tired today because she had a swimming competition all weekend. I couldn't imagine doing that all weekend, I needed my rest, which was exactly what I did every weekend unless I went to a party.

"Did you guys hear about Noel Kahn's party this weekend?" Alison asked as she clicked her nails on the table, which were painted a dark shade, maybe black.

"No, but we should all go." Spencer said. "Isn't he having a Halloween party?"

"He's having one this weekend and another in two weeks for Halloween," Alison said. "It's going to be fun!"

I figured it would be a good idea to go this weekend and have a fun night. Plus, I needed to find a nice guy after Sean and I broke up almost 2 months ago, hopefully there'd be lots of hot guys there.

"I'm in." I said with a smile. They all agreed and I finally had something to look forward to next weekend.
