Sonic the Hedgehog: The New Age

The Arrival, Act 2

We used a teleporter nearby to get there faster. Once we were there, we headed straight for the Medical building, just outside of the Zone. We headed in and the clerk greeted us.

"Take us to room 47, please," Knuckles insisted. The clerk walked us to the room, and went off. "Now, you have to be quiet," Knuckles told me. "Any sudden movements, and she'll go nuts."
Then, we quietly opened the door and tiptoed in. "Hey Amy?" He whispered, "I've got someone who wants to see you."

"Is it those damn nurses again?" She replied. "I don't want their crappy flavored medicine again, it tastes awful."

"No, even better!" He said, kinda sarcastically. It really ticked me off for some reason. "I'll let him come in to say hi." I then walked towards the curtain.

"Hey Amy," I said, kinda choking on my voice, "Are ya feeling alright?" By the look on her face, something told me she was really happy to see me.

"SONIC!" She yelled. "It's been ages! Come here and let me see you!" Honestly, I didn't know if I did or not, but my body obeyed. "Gosh, how long has it been?"

"Two years," I said.

"Wow," she said, "you've changed so much, your gloves, your shoes, and even your eyes-oh, your eyes are brown! Just like they were when we were really young. Please sit down and make yourself comfortable!" She got up from the bed she was on and fluffed up a pillow for me on the couch next to her. Again, I still wasn't so sure about going near her, but I still obeyed.

"Hey," I asked, "are you ok? Are you hurt at all?" I was still really worried about her.

"Oh, so Knuckles told you what happened, eh? I'm fine. I've got a small headache, and my quills are a little sore, but I'm all good." I nodded and I could tell she noticed I was off. "Sonic, what's the matter?" She asked.

"I-..." I didn't know what to say. "When Knux told me about what happened, I guess I started to really worry about you." It's true. I swear to Chaos it's true. "I thought maybe...after you were injured, seeing me would make it worse..." All of it was true. There was no way in HELL that I was lying.

"Look, Sonic. I know we had a little argument a couple years ago, but that's all in the past." She did have a point, but something was still bothering me.

"Well, as long as you're not mad, I'm fine. Me and Knuckles still have some work to do, and I gotta get ahold of Miles. I'll come stop by later if the nurses will let me." We both chuckled and I left the room. "Well, where were we Knux?" I said.

"Time to go check the Emerald I guess." He said. Off to the Hidden Palace we go.
