Lee's POV

It's another day here in Chicago and I've been watching the news a lot lately. The weatherman said we're gonna have a snowstorm some time this week. Everyone thinks that the storm won't be so bad like last year. Last year, the storm knocked the power out and we got snowed in. It's a good thing we are prepared this time because last year, my grandma forgot to Tgo shopping and we had to make do what we had at home with no heat. I don't want that to happen again this year, especially since my grandmother had a stroke recently. This time we're going to a nice hotel. I saved up enough money to put me, my grandma and my cousin into a nice hotel. They have a chimney in the hotel room which will keep us warm throughout the storm. I booked a room for a one-night stay. The weather is very chilly and I have to work today. It's times like this I wish I had a car of my own. My cousin dropped me off at work and I went inside. Pam was at the register as usual. I clocked in and took my jacket off and placed it in my locker. I put my name tag on and began to put clothes on the rack. Business is booming as usual. I'm so glad today is payday. I think I'm gonna use the money to go to the strip club like I used to. I wanna see some beautiful ladies dancing in my lap for a change.

Lisa's POV

I watched the news before I went to work. I can't believe it, a snowstorm is coming this week. I hope this doesn't affect my new winter line because it's is supposed to be in Urban Wear today. I went to my office and saw Nicole. She looked like she was in pain.

Me: Nicole? Are you okay?

Nicole: I got a headache.

Me: You didn't drive last night, did you?

Nicole: Girl, no! I took a cab. So how's your date last night?

Me: What date?

Nicole: That guy? Lee?

Me: Oh. We shared a cab. That's all.

I couldn't tell Nicole that Lee is actually a woman. I don't know why I have feelings for this woman and I shouldn't have these feelings besides I don't even know her. Anyways, I went to my cubicle and went to work on my new drawings.

Lee's POV

As I put these shirts on the racks, I begin to wonder who in their right minds would go shopping for outfits in this type of weather? I noticed women buying dresses and skirts. Don't they know it is cold as hell outside? I shook my head and said to myself since it's flu season, somebody's going to get sick this winter. I continue working until my lunch break. I walked across the street to order lunch with Pam. I held tight to my jacket because it was cold. We ran across the street and hurried inside to get warm. I ordered a hot sandwich, broccoli cheese soup and some hot chocolate. I should of bought some of my grandma's hot gumbo for lunch. At least there will be some left when I get home tonight. We ran back to the store and went to the back room to have our lunch break. I took off my jacket and shook off the snow. I sat down with Pam and ate my lunch.

Me: Damn! I can't stand this cold weather!

Pam: Me either! This vegetable soup I ordered should warm me up. I'm thinking of leaving Chicago one day.

Me: Why?

Pam: Because I feel like there's a life outside this city for me and I don't know what it is yet.

Me: I used to feel the same way too, but the hood is where I belong.

Pam: You sound like Cleo from the movie Set It Off.
