The females wore the green sports jacket that symbolized they were seniors as well. One of the girls turned to look around, as if she sensed something that had invaded the space. She had dark brown hair with light blond highlights, tanned skin, brown eyes, and a height of about 5'4. Mason watched her carefully. Like the girl, Mason sensed something too, almost as if he felt a sense of familiarity when he saw the student. He attempted to observe the other two with the girl, but they wore their hoods to cover their features. "What are they doing here?," he thought. "Why now?"
Suddenly, the girl spoke. "We should go. I feel an unworthy presence in this area right now, like someone or even more than one is watching us," she said. Her voice was somewhat low, with a hint of anger peeking through. She proceeded to put her hood on like her two friends, and all of them walked to the door on the other side. The others stepped inside the door and vanished from Mason's sight, but surprisingly, the main one turned her head slightly around. The sunlight shone on her concerned face. Her eyebrows furrowed as she scanned the rooftop once more before finally leaving.
Mason exhaled. He hadn't realized he was holding his breath for that long of a time. Why was he so worried? They were just normal girls after all. Perhaps he was wrong though; maybe they were high ranking mutants as well, trying to complete a quest like him and his own friends. Mason knew he shouldn't be thinking those thoughts...He needed to relax. Mason looked at Blake and James.
"I don't like them. Something wasn't right when we came up here," James spoke with irritation. "We need to find out why they were here. They could have known that we were undercover." James' voice rose with fury. "They could be a part of SM Entertainment!"
"Calm down, James," Blake said. "They could've been just regular high school girls lost in their own school or escaping the grasp of the boys' perverted touch. No need to get paranoid right now either. We have a mission to focus on."
Mason didn't really understand why Blake was so calm about this newly erupted situation. He partially agreed with James about the girls possibly being associated with SM Entertainment.
"James is right. We should look into this. Of course, it won't get in our way of things, unless they actually are a part of that sinister group. As for right now, we should get back to the auditorium. We have already wasted enough time and forgotten our planning. These girls will just be a side quest for us."
Blake gave Mason an odd look. "Did you sense something, Mr. Sinestro?"
"Yes...well, maybe I didn't. I'm not sure, but that main girl...hm." Mason was lost in thought. He tended to do that every once in a while when he was bothered by something. "Why was she looking around like that? What is her goal?," he thought.
Blake spoke. "Well then. We shouldn't waste any more time, correct? If we all seem to agree on the matter, then we need to get a move on with things. Besides, it's about time we left here. The Head Leader here will start to become suspicious on where we are and what exactly we are doing; he already has his personal doubts about us."
James nodded his head, and Blake started to get up from the long held position. Mason finally snapped out of zoning out as he realized what his other companion had said. The three boys proceeded to the exit. Mason looked back at the rooftop they were located at as the young girl did. He was trying to wrap his mind around on what she was thinking. Mason shook his head. "Snap out of it, Sinestro. You can worry about this later. After all, the matter is settled: We will pursue the three targets and watch their every move, but it cannot be our first priority. Our main goal is to find out the whereabouts of the leaders in SM Entertainment and their list of mutants working for them. We must annihilate them all."
