Been over a year since I updated this but fear not I've got a huge load of chapters written already :) Picture of Leo above .

"You're a fucking idiot."

"I believe you're referring to yourself there."

"Oh shut up, Leo."

"Alyssa, could you please consider it for once?"

"No, I can't. I'm not going to pretend that I'm in a hospital so that you don't have to travel back to your parent's house for Easter!" I shout as I remove the groceries.

"But you know how my parents are! They never really care that I'm there, all they care about is Lara." He whines.

"She's your sister, Leo," I reply as I take a small Mars bar and pop it into my mouth.

"And? That doesn't mean they can pretend that I don't even fucking live on this planet." He sighs as he takes a seat on the sofa.

Running my hand on the smooth marble bench top, I followed Leo into the lounge.

"Alyssa, please?" He frowned, staring at me.

"Please? All you have to do is agree to this and I'll just tell them that you're in the hospital."

"Why do you even need me to agree to this? Like, I mean you could have already told your parents about this lie and I wouldn't even need to know anything about this." I question out loud. I grab the TV remote, flipping through channels as I find something to watch.

"Because I know from past events that whenever I use you as bait for something, I always escape near-death experiences." Leo stared at me knowingly as he adjusted his cap; flipping it so that the flap was facing the back of his head.

"You have a very good point." I laugh as I nod my head along to the music playing in the background of the TV.

"So is that a yes? You don't have to prove to them or-"

"I know how it works Leo. I'll do it." I give in, shaking my head as Leo smiles brightly.

"Thank you so much!" He shouts as he hugs me before jumping up and grabbing his car keys of the bench top.

"Hang on, where are you going?" I question getting up.

"I have to go and meet up with someone." He smiles, his uneven jawline looking even more uneven in the limited light in the corridor.

"Hey! I thought we were hanging out today!" I reply, getting up.

"Yeah so did I but then I realised that I'll see you tomorrow in class, so it's fine." He smirked before opening the door and exiting the house.

"Dick!" I shout out after him.

"I know!" He replies before getting into his car and driving away.

I tapped my foot impatiently as I waited in line. Shuffling the tubs of ice-cream in my left hand to my right, I glanced at the queue as it got shorter.

I quickly paid for my ice-cream before heading out of the grocery store. I mean to anyone who didn't know me, they would think I was an idiot for having 3 tubs of ice-cream to herself but hey, ice-cream was a good snack and one always has to have ice cream.

Just as I was crossing the street, something hit me. I fell to the ground all my belongings falling around me. I look up to see a car stationary in front of me, I could hear footsteps but I was more concerned about the pain in my head and leg.
