Yeah, I like you

Two weeks later

-Skylar-

I sat in chemistry, waiting for class to end. Gerard asked me to meet with him after class, and I was anticipating what he has to say. He's in a good mood today, so I'm sure it's something good.

I glanced at the clock, seeing we still have half an hour left. I sighed, and continued listening to his lecture on chemical compounds.

-

The bell rang, making everyone leap out of their seats, and off to their next class. Well, everyone but me. I collected my belongings, and walked up to his desk, where he greeted me with a smile.

"Take a seat." He motioned me to the desk in front. I did as he asked.

"So I was wondering.." He paused, bitting his lip.

"W...Would you.. Would you like to go out on a...a date? Maybe sometime this weekend?" His voice was low, and he avoided eye contact. I giggled at his shyness, got up, and gave him a hug.

"Pick me up at six?" I smirked. His eyes lit up, as he hugged me back. I gave him my address, and number, with a smile plastered on my face.

"Great." He smiled. "Oh shit. Am I keeping you from your next class?" his voice filled with worry.

"No, don't worry. I have a free period right now." I giggled.

"Oh okay, so do I. We have a little over fifteen minutes, so you wanna come with me to go get a coffee at Starbucks?"

"Are we allowed to leave?" I laughed

"I don't actually know. But I guess we will soon." He took my hand, leading me out of the classroom. I swear this guy is insane. Since everyone was in class, it was easy to leave the school going unnoticed.

We walked out o the school, and he led me to his car, which to my surprise, was incredibly clean, and smelled like pine trees.

"Okay, I think I have like five dollars, so that should be enough to buy myself a-"

"Skylar, put your wallet away, I'm paying." He cut me off.

"Gerard, I can't do that. You already bought me a sandwich." I protested.

"Yep. And I'm also buying you a coffee." I rolled my eyes. It's impossible to argue with this guy. He started the car, and drove off to the nearest Starbucks.

"Okay, what do you want?" He asked as we got there. I thought for a moment, before telling him I want a vanilla iced latte. He nodded, and ordered.

"How much longer do we have?" I asked.

"Around ten minutes. Although, we should head back soon. Just in case we get caught." I nodded and took a sip of my latte.

"So where do you plan on taking me for our date?" I smirked.

"Well, it's a surprise. I know you'll like though." He winked.

"At least give me a hint." I pouted

"Nope. You'll just have to wait till this weekend."

"Geraaaaard."

"Skylaaaaaaaaar." He smirked, imitating my whining.

"You suck."

"Hey, don't talk to your teacher like that." He smirked.

Prick.

"Do we have to go back to school?" I wined.

"Yes."

"Why?"

"Because."

"Because what?"

"Because I said so."

"That's not an answer."

"Yes it is."

"Not."

"Is."

"Not."

"I'm your teacher, therefore, it is."

"Come on, Gerard. Please?"

"Skylar, I can't just do that."

"Just call in sick, say you had to go home."

"And what about you? I had to go home, and bring you with me? I don't think so."

"No one will notice I'm gone."

"Your other teachers will."

"Trust me, they won't."

"Ugh, Sky." He groaned while smirking at the same time, using the nickname he knew I hated.

"Gerard, please? I don't wanna go back there. It's not like anyone would miss me..." I sighed.

"Don't say that." He said sternly.

"It's the truth! C'mon, haven't you ever ditched before?"

"Yes, but not with another student." He mumbled that last bit.

"Ah, yes. But I'm not 'just another student' now am I?" I smirked.

"Skylar, that's besides the point. You know how much trouble I could get into if anyone found out about us? I'd most likely get fired, and you'd probably be expelled. Now you don't want that, do you?" He had a point.

But I wasn't giving up that easily.

"Ditch with me, or I won't go on the date with you." I threatened.

"Skylar, please. Don't do that to me, okay?" He begged.

"I mean it." He glared at me, and sighed.

"You're too much, you know that?" He said, starting up the car.

"I know." I smiled. He got out his phone, and called the school. I smiled at my success, and took another sip of my coffee.

-

"Okay, darling, what do you wanna do?" He asked, as we walked out of Starbucks, making me blush. I took another sip, and thought.

"Well, we could go to the mall." I suggested.

"Do you really wanna do that?" He wined.

"Yes!" I squealed.

"I'm not buying you anything this time." He smirked while messing up my hair.

"Yeah, uh huh. That's what you think." I poked his side. He glared at me, and then picked me up, lifting me over his shoulder, while running to his car.

I squealed, and giggled while flailing my legs around, making him laugh too.

He plopped me down in the passenger seat of his car, and drove us to the mall.
