*Kaiah's POV*
I groan as I sit up on my bed. I just finished reading the ending of Waiting For You by Susane Colasanti. The ending of the book is not how I would have wanted it. Oh well. I steal a glance at my clock to check the time. Ugh!! 6:45am. Might as well have some fun with my sleeping twin.
I slowly get up making sure that my wooden floors don't creak beneath me. Slowly I make my way to the door and open it. I let out a breath I didn't know I was holding when the door glides open soundlessly. It's pitch black in my hallway so this is going to make it difficult to walk without running into a wall.
Carefully, I take a step forward. Apparently I wasn't cautious enough because I ended up hitting a flower pot and falling on my face with a THUMP! Groaning quietly I lift myself up to my feet and tip-toe to my sisters room. Bang! I stub my toe on the wall. Damn it! Can I at least get to herroom before something devastating happens to me?!
Giving up, I slide to the ground and decide to crawl. I put my hand out in front of me like a retard in an attempt to find the door knob. Finally, I find it and give it a twist which opens the door. I slip into her room silently (Praise the lord) and make it to her bed and see her sleeping figure. I laugh quietly as I head into her connected bathroom where I decide to fill a cup full of water.
After filling the cup I walk to her bed and stand there for a few seconds, debating whether I should stop now or keep on going. With a shrug of my shoulders the water dumps on her. One second Josie is sound asleep and another she's screaming her brains off.
"What the Hell, Kaiah! You better freaking run right now while you have the chance!"
I start running like my life depended on it. Well, frankly, it does. My sister is crazy.
I run straight to my room and slam the door shut behind me. I lock the door just to stay on the safe side. I slide down the door and lay my back against it all the while my sister is banging and kicking trying to bust the door down. I know all too well that she will give up soon so I just decide to sit on my bed.
Little did I know that my sister turned into the Hulk when I dumped that water on her. Bang! The door falls to the floor and. My sister stands there with the most furious look on her face.
Ah, hell. I know that face all to well.
I leap off my bed and in a matter of seconds I'm under the box spring of my bed. A scream so loud and highpitched comes from my sister and I mutter, "Hey, I wonder if England heard that."
Apparently Josie was having none of that and soon enough I hear her footsteps charge my bed. Well, crap. I'm in trouble.
Josie lands on the mattress with a thud and ducks her head under the bed. She is about to pull me out from my hair before my mom interrupted what was happening.
"Josie, get off the bed."She says.
Josie gapes at her. "But mom! She deserves it. She dumped fucking water on me! She should be punished!"
"Cursing will not be tolerated in this household." Mom states hastily.
I snicker at Josie. Hell, I could dump water over her and not be lectured, but Josie opens her mouth and says a curse word and mom is on her ass.
"Kaiah, dear. Why did you poor water on your sister?" Mom asks softly and not at all mean.
I shrug, "I was bored and she was my amusement."
"Come out from under the bed please. It will make it easier to talk this situation out." She says in a compromised tone.
I slowly make my wait out from under the bed. Before I fully make my way out from under the bed I eye Josie to make sure she's not plotting to pounce on me when she gets the chance. Seeing nothing but an angry expression on her face I bring myself fully out from under the bed and face mom.
"Apologize to Josie, Kaiah," Mom says abruptly. "Heck no. Why would I do that?" I ask.
Mom sighs in exasperation. "Because she's your sister and what you did is rude. If you could say sorry a little quicker we can all go back to sleep faster."
"I'm sorry for spilling water on you Josie. It was cruel of me to do so." I say with an eye roll.
"Ya, whatever." Is the only response I get out of her.
"There. That wasn't so bad was it? Okay, I don't know about you but I'm exhausted. I'm going to bed." Mom says with a yawn. I wave a small good-bye to her and watch as Josie makes her way to her room again.
I flop on my bed with a sigh. I'm immediately hit with a wave of exhaustion and decide that sleeping isn't such a bad idea. Who know, I might even figure out why in the hell I would ever need to use pi in my life. That's the last thought I have before I fall into a deep abyss of darkness. Or as you would call-sleep.
The spacing is weird. It doesn't look weird till I publish it so please ignore the terrible spacing. Well I hope you enjoy. Please don't be afraid to comment and vote on this story.~Love Olivia
