Nora's and Hailey's outfits ⬆⬅

No sound can be heard in the house as I sit on my bed overthinking what my father said before. I guess my brain just can't process it and that's why I'm now blankly starring at my poster filled walls while thinking about life.

A new mom? What if she's like my mother? What if she tries too hard to get into my life? What if she tries to be my "friend"? What if she just ignores me? I think that'd be the best for all of us; no interaction, no possibility of conflicts.

As soon as he has said that, I've told him I need to think before storming to my room as he left for work.

A new mom. The words keep replaying in my head as Lost in Reality by 5sos blares through the speakers in my room.

The music is suddenly interrupted as my phone starts ringing. I pick it up seeig it's my bestie Hailey.

+HI BITCH
-Hello to you too, Hai

I know her so well I can practically see her rolling her eyes at me as she always does when I'm not in a good mood.

+Yeah yeah yeah so, what's new in your little lonely world?
-My dad just told me I "might be having a new mom soon"
+NO WAY!! Why didn't you tell me?!
-Because when I say he just told me I mean he literally told me like ten minutes ago
+That's too long! Anyways, I'm coming over

And just like that she hangs up. Well... That's Hailey. And honestly I can't blame her, I'd normally be like that if my dad hadn't just told me those news.

Just as I finish bringing all the chocolate in my house to my room, Hailey comes into my bedroom through the window.

+THE QUEEN HAS ARRIVED, LET'S GET THIS SHIT POPPIN!! Ooooh chocolate, you know me too well
-The pizza should also arrive soon
+That's my girl. Now how are we confronting this?
-Eating as much chocolate and pizza as it's possible before being forced to face reality?
+Hmm... Orr we can finish all this chocolate and pizza, and then we get ready to go clubbing
-I don't know Hai, I'm not really in the mood
+Oh c'mon, blaring music, neon lights, hot guys... Pleeeeeaaaaaaseeeee
-Fine, fine, we'll go clubbing
+Yay! You'll thank me later now where's the pizza?

We eat a ton of chocolate along with the pizza I ordered while we dance and sing around my room making ourselves look like complete fools. Then we both pick each other outfits, which consist on matching black leather jackets, combat boots, black shorts and white shirt for her and black converse, white shorts and black T-shirt for me and get ready before leaving.

When we arrive at the club we walk confidently with our chins up making heads turn as we pass. We skip the queue and greet the guy at the door as he lets us go inside, seeing he's an old friend of us.

As soon as we step in two guys start walking towards us. We both quickly scan them before giving each other a knowing look and smiling.

~Hi there ladies
-+Bye there, loosers

We both throw our jackets to their shocked faces before waving and completely ignoring them as we walk to the dance floor. Once there we laugh loudly and start dancing as if there was no tomorrow.

Later on more guys approach, and it goes the same with all of them

~You wanna dance?
-I already am
~Hey you wanna make out with my friend?
-No but I know of someone who does. The wall
~Can I have your number and a piece of that ass?
-Ask the waiter
~How can a beautiful girl like you be all alone? We should change that
-You could try if your ego wasn't bigger than your brain, but that's not your case
~Did it hurt when you fell you fell from the sky?
-Not as much as your face will when my hand touches it

+Hey that last one was a bit rude, don't you think? Maybe a random hook up would help you get your mind off things
-Okay who's the guy?
+What?
-Hailey, we both now I don't need to make out with someone to "get my mind off things". Plus you only tell me to hook up with somebody when you already have a guy you want to make out with
+Well, what can I say? You caught me. Bleached hair, green eyes, eyebrow piercing and all black clothes
-Where?
+To your left

I quickly turn my head left and then right making it look like I'm bobbing my head to the music while I check out my best friend's new victim

-Nice choice, go have fun
+And you?
-I'll find someone myself
+Great, then I'll call you tomorrow

We say our goodbyes, she moves towards this guy and not too long later they're eating each other's faces. Oh well.

I dance for another half an hour before deciding to leave. I grab my jacket from the counter at the entry and head home.

Hailey was right after all, I have to thank her for taking me out clubbing. The loud music and those guys' shocked faces always put me in a better mood. It's funny how they think every girl would fall at their feet with a click of their fingers.

Hailey and I like to think that we're just showing them how real life is. You can't always win in life, it's a roller-coaster where you can't know what will happen next.

When I arrive home I see my father sitting on the couch working with his computer. I hadn't realised how late it was.

¬You stayed out for a little longer today, didn't you?
-Yeah, sorry dad, I went out with Hailey and didn't notice the time
¬Hailey? Who's that?
-... She's just a friend of mine
¬Oh well then go upstairs and go to bed
-Good night dad
¬Night Nora

Nine years. Hailey and I have been best friends for nine years and my father doesn't even know her name yet. That's how well my family knows me.

I take my shoes off and get into bed thinking again abou this whole new mom thing and how it could affect too my current life. I still now nothing about her, maybe I should talk to my father about this possible new mom.

Right now my brain is just too tired, and so is my body, so I'll simply sleep it off.
