Moving On

Hailey comes into my room through the window, like always. Today she's staying all day long, since this will be my last day in Oxford... or the UK... or Europe. Jeez I can't believe I'm moving even continents.

+You're overthinking again, aren't you?
-How can't I, I'm moving to a new life!
+C'mon, don't exagrate
-Exaggerate?! I'll be living in a diferent country, in a diferent continent, in a diferent house with diferent people how is that exaggerating?
+Well... Why don't we just try to not think about it?
-Yeah I think that'll the best. What do you have in mind?
+Hmm how about pizza and old movies for now?
-I'm fine with that, I guess... By the way it's been a long time since I last heard from Scott how is it going with him?
+Well, you know how he asked me on a date?, so when I went to where we had met there he was, waiting for me with a flower in his hand, which he put on my hair later, saying "a beautiful flower for a beautiful girl like you"
-I didn't know you were into that much cheesiness
+And I though I wasn't... But the way he said it, the way he looked at me in the eyes like I was something precious... I was on top of the world, Nora, and he was just beside me
-Wow, you had never felt like that with any other guy, had you?
+No, and I don't think I'll ever do with any other person
-Woah, don't you think that's a little too much?
+I don't know anymore Nora, I don't know
-So are you guys officially dating?
+I-I don't know....
-Don't worry, I'm sure you will soon
+Oh and also you know we made out at the club, right?
-Yeah why?
+We didn't at the date,I mean we did kiss but it was all so caring and...
-Slow?
+... Well yes, but not in a bad way. PIZZA'S HERE!!

I swear she has superpowers to know when there's pizza near.

She runs downstairs, pays the pizza guy and runs back upstairs almost tripping over the stairs.

After that she says she doesn't want to talk about Scott anymore and so we spend the rest of the day watching old movies, doing each other's hair, putting make up on each other and stupid things like that.

And without even noticing, it's night time, so we build a fort with pillows and blankets where we spend the night just looking at old pictures of ourselves and doing more silly stuff.

The next morning she helps me pack my last things before we have to say goodbye and I have to leave to the airport. It isn't really that emotive, just a "don't forget to text me everyday and call me at least once a week, okay bitch? I swear if you do I'll swim all the way to America and stab you in the face".

That's how our friendship is. What she doesn't know is that I already snuck two posters into her room; one with old and more recent pictures of us and the other is the last green day poster she has been rambling about for a week.

After my father and I go through all the stuff you have to do at the airport to pass your luggage, we sit at the waiting area.

I start to remember the day my father told me we were finally moving. We were having luch together, which was pretty weird for us. He stopped eating halfway through it and told me he had received a call from Katherine's company. He happily said he had gotten the job, and told me he would be starting in two weeks. I asked him when we would be moving and he talked about having tickets for the following week and me already being signed up at a near highschool.
That's when I ran to my room, called Hailey, and watched with her all High School Musical and Camp Rock movies.

The following day I met with my brother again to tell him the news, and to my surprise he already knew.

My father had called a few days ago saying he had gotten a job in the U.S.A. and that he would be moving there in a week. So my father had told his ex-wife and son he no longer saw before his daughter, who he lived with.
