So here's the thing...I've lived my entire 24 years in this old seaside town, the most exciting thing to happen is when old Florence who used to run the post office decided to open an over seventies Zumba class...you catch my drift here...that's it...I mean nothing ever happens..not ever..days drift into each other..nights are spent with a large bottle of vodka on the beach...wrapped up in last season's coat from the New shopping mall that closed nearly all the local shops...yeah..no quirky little boutiques like people always say little villages have..nope ,nothing...sure we can get our fill of latte from the mega coffee chains that popped up or spend a tenner in various bargain shops and come out with the biggest load of sh..... ,,,Well you can see where I'm going ,there's just no where to be individual..yourself..a non clone if that makes sense.

I finished school...Well I think scraped through with the grades I needed to gain a place at my local college...art was my aim..not so I could just slack off and smoke weed...which seems to be what most of my friends did..I mean you know I've tried it..who hasn't but it deterred me from my goal..as strange as it seemed to everyone..I wanted out ,I needed to get out! Stagnating in dullsville was not an option.

I was desperate to go to a bigger art college ..the ones nearer to town..really study textile design...get all the ideas bubbling in my head out for people to see...not just mum and aunty jo, they were as outrageous as a snood...they just wanted me to make "a nice scarf luv" or "ooh a Christmas jumper for your dad"...I mean...practise and all that but it was never going to get me anywhere...my nan always had the wise words of "shame c&a isn't open luv...you could knock out some lovely blouses "!!!

So i managed to get on my course..and spent 3 years devoted to the fabric...gaining skills on the sewing machine my nan would be proud of...studying my heart out whilst working in a dirty old burger bar to cover the costs of my life..which consisted of super noodles and Pepsi..you can see the pay was AMAZING ......

But it payed off because here I am squashing my pathetic wardrobe into aunty Jo's suitcase with just one wheel...surrounded my old boxes full of bits the family have got me from the before mentioned bargain shops...thanks nan...

I'm moving to London...that's right!I'm out of here..it's scary and exciting and scary and...oh crap..the zip just won't do up!....anyway...I'm sharing a house in Shoreditch with three other people who I have never met...in a house I've never seen ...but my internship at my new job do in it for me..it's cheap....Well London cheap...and the commutes not too bad ..so I've got to suck it up and get on with it. The job ?...oh it's at this amazing fashion house..that one that has the supermodel Aria Malone modelling those amazing evening gowns that are always on the best dressed lists..'Talia Minone'...how I pulled this off I have no idea, the designer is amazing...she was seemingly impressed with my use of vintage lace and raw silk...how amazing is that! A three month internship and it's paid which is rare...and if I do well, maybe a job! It's exciting beyond belief......
