Chapter 1

Meredith's POV

Today was like any other day. I woke up with all of my three children in my bed, great.
I get up and have a shower and then go downstairs. That's when I see my most amazing sister making bacon and eggs, perfect for a Sunday morning.
" You are amazing Maggie, I don't know what I would do without you."
"It's the least I could do" she replies.
And then I turn around and see my not so good sister chucking up in a bucket. " You really should go and see a doctor Amelia"
" I am a doctor!" She answers.
I just decided to leave her alone. I then head upstairs to get my children dressed which I am really dreading right now because I can hear them fighting. Nothing unusual.
I can hear Maggie leaving for work, great now I don't have a babysitter I was going to go see how Alex was doing I guess that's going to have to wait.
I walk past my bedside table and see a photo of Derek and I. I start to tear up but then I got distracted by Ellis calling out to me. I go and help Ellis and then I hear a knock at the door so I run downstairs to get it. I haven't had visitors in ages. I open the door.....
"Hey Meredith"
The person I least expected to knock on my door.
"Addison?" I can't believe my eyes we never got along what is she doing here? Does she know about Derek?

" I heard about Derek I'm really sorry for you Meredith, how are you going?" She said. I wasn't really sure of what to say back so I just said " thank you, it's hard but I'm doing fine. Do you want to come in?"
"Sure" Addison replied.

"So what are you doing here?" I asked. " My husband Jake got a job offer so I thought we should bring our little Henry here to see Seattle" she replied. She has a husband and child this is not the Addison I remembered. "Congratulations when will I..." "Mommy I'm hungry and Ellis threw her breakfast on the wall!" Bailey interrupted me. "Sorry Addison, do you want to meet the children and Say hi to Amelia she's not the greatest company right now?" I asked her, she replied saying "yes, how many children do you have now? Haha" "only three" I said. This was actually nice to have a new face to talk to.

"So how was LA, and the practice?" I said. "Very good! The weather was amazing and it was really nice to work at a private practice where you get to spend most of your time knowing your patients instead of just cutting them open. No offence" she said. "Non taken I get it" I answered.
"Well I better go now, it was nice seeing you and your adorable children and Amelia " Addison said "it was great seeing you too, next time bring your hubby and child" I said. I then went and said goodbye to her at the door.

Well that was awkward. I think that's the first time we had a conversation without fighting over Derek. I guess that's over now....
