Chapter 3

Alex's POV
I think I'm starting to wake up and remember what happened to me. How dare he punch me I am the man nobody punches me I'm Dr.Alex Karev.

"Alex, wake up come on honey wakeup" I can hear the sound of Jo worrying about me and Arizona comforting her. I can hear everybody but I can't seem to move or interact with them.

Jo's POV

Why isn't he waking up? it was only a punch. "Jo Dr.Bailey is here to tell you why he isn't waking up" Arizona tells me. " Jo the punch has caused bleeding in the brain, which you know what that means so there is no need for me to explain it, we..." are going to have to keep waiting but he may never wake up, thanks Dr.Bailey" You know sometimes I hate being a doctor, knowing all the possible bad things that can happen especially if it is someone you know. Alex and I have gone through some rough patches but I think we got through it and now this happens. I was a bit worried getting into a relationship with Alex only because he has so many good girl friends like Meredith, I once saw her in our bathroom talking to him while he was in the shower but I'm okay with it because Meredith lost Derek and I don't know what I would do without Alex. Then there is Arizona who is absolutely gorgeous and Alex feels guilty for her because he was supposed to be on this plane but instead he made Arizona go and then the plane crashed and Arizona had to get her leg amputated, so now he always is protective with her and they are both Paediatricians. I guess I'm really getting scared that I'm going to loose him. " Jo he's going to be fine, he's going to wake up any minute now. I have to leave now but he will be fine I promise" "thanks Arizona"

I've already been sitting here for 3 hours there is no way I can leave his side. " Jo, Hi I'm Jake I just wanted to come and say..." get out! how could you do this? you're a doctor, you know what happens, just please get out!" He slowly walks away. How does he even have the guts to come in here after what he did.

I have now been here for 5 hours, time goes really slow when you're at the hospital but not doing anything. " Jo you should really get some sleep you've been here for a while now" " thanks Arizona but I will be fine" "I brought you some food, I thought you would be hungry" "Thanks" "you know he's going to be fine, you yourself have seen much worse patients come out of a coma" " yeah but you know the ones with the least amount of injuries always seem to not make it" " just keep being positive Jo it's the only way you're going to get through it trust me" Arizona says while she is walking out of the room.

I am so tired so I fall asleep holding Alex's hand just praying that somehow he will survive....
