I woke up from that nightmare again.
Napasapo ako ng ulo nang mapansin kong lumuluha pa rin ako at hinahabol ang aking hininga.
I look around.
I remember everything!

And I realize, it's definitely not just a dream.
How could I forget?
Have I got worn out of the cycle?
Napatingin ako sa phone ko.
It's June 13, 2015 and already 10:36 in the morning.
And I've got messages from Risa.

It's already 6:35 pm pero wala pa rin si Risa.

Agad kong tinignan yung phone ko.
[Risa Calling...]

"Risa? Where the hell are you? " Pambungad ko sakanya.
"S-Sorry! I'm on my way there! N-Natraffic ako kasi naman napakalayo pala ng pinagbilhan mo nitong gift mo! Jusme! P-Para na akong hinahabol ng sampung asong ulol kung tumakbo! Patay ka talaga saken mamaya pag nakarating ako dyan!" She answered back.
I can really hear her catching her breath.
"Okay. Aabangan nalang kita sa labas, sa tapat ng shop. Ok? Tumawag ka rin pala pag malapit kana, nang masundo kita. " I told her.
"S-Sige! Mabuti pa nga! Nang hindi Makita ng client natin kung paano kita gulpihen ng malufet!" She said with all her might.
As usual, amusing girl.
"Ok, I'll be waiting then. Bye."
Then I end the call.
I will definitely save you this time Risa.

It's already 7:15 pm.
Cue ko na para lumabas.
Sinabihan ko ang waiter na lalabas na muna ako at stand by lang sila.
Nang nakalabas na ako ng shop, umupo na ako sa katapat nitong fence.
I look up the sky.
It's dark and cloudy na parang uulan.
No sign of a single star.
Tanging street lights lang ang nagpapaliwanag sa paligid.
Ganitong ganito nga kapangit yung gabing yun.
Napapikit ako.
Inaalala ang lahat.
I've had enough already.
I've had enough of losing her again and again.
This cycle has repeated for decades or so.
There must only be one ending.
I glance at my wrist watch.
It's 07:36 pm.
Any seconds, nandito na siya.
"Jirooo!"
And there she is!
Napatingin ako sa likod ko which is across the other street.
"S-Sorry! A-Ano nang nagyare sa c-client natin?" Hingal na hingal nyang sabi.
"Diba sabi ko sayo tawagan mo ko if ever na malapit kana? Bakit hindi ka tumawag?!"
Napakunot naman sya ng noo dahil sa sagot ko.
Napabuntong hininga nalang ako.
"Whatever. Just stay there and I'll get you."
Palakad nako papunta sa kanya nang...
"No, wait I'll beㅡ"
Patawid na sana sya ng mabitawan niya yung maliit na box na hawak nya.
Gumulong ito sa gitna ng kalsada.
"Hala! Yung gift!ㅡ,"
She said then suddenly run and about to pick up the box.
Nanlaki ang mata ko.
No, this can't be happening!
Patakbo na sana ako ng may biglang nalaglag mula sa bulsa ko.
I take a glance into it.
The Pocket Watch?
I suddenly thought how to end this cycle.
Nginitian at binalewala ko nalang ito at tumakbo papalapit kay Risa.
Cause' this time, I won't need it anymore.
I'm willing to give her all of my time.
Even if we couldn't be together anymore.
I suddenly pushed her aside and jumped into the street.
At that moment, the truck slammed into me.
Pinagmasdan ko lang kung paano niya ko titigan patumba.

Hanggang sa mapansin ko siya na nakatayo sa likod ni Risa.

I smirked at him.
I guess this is how it should have always been.
I finally save her.
Then everything went blank.
