Chapter 4

Hailey’s POV

I lied on my back as the massive bed and thick sheets swallowed me whole, just thinking. Next week I was going to be 19 and it seemed insane to know that time had flown by this quickly. But how would I be spending my 19th birthday? Stuck here in captivity or with my parents?

As I lied there letting the thoughts swallow me whole the sound of a girls terrified scream echoed throughout the house making me freeze. I had to force myself to sit up, listening as silence lingered throughout the entire house. I slowly and carefully took the blankets off of me, knowing if I was too loud that I would be heard. I tip toed across the room and opened my door allowing light to pour into my room. From what I could see; Louis' and Harry's bedroom door was closed. I walked along the hallway, hearing soft snoring as I turned the few corners to get to the stairs. I tip toed down and as I reached the bottom I heard the scream again causing me to jump. Tears fought my eyes and a lump grew in my throat. I looked to the left down the hall way to the large front door. I could make a run for it or I could try and stop what ever was going on. I tip toed down the hall past the kitchen and past the dinning room until a door where I believed it was coming from. I opened the door and it squeaked but down the stairs remained quiet. I walked down the stone steps looking at my surroundings. As I reached the bottom I appeared to be in dungeon of some sort. There were stone walls and stone floors with candles hung on the wall illuminating the room.

"Hello." I shaky voice called out making me jump again, freezing in my spot.

"Is anyone there?" It was a girl who was calling out. I walked down quickly and turned the corner; stopping dead in my tracks. There infront of me was a girl, looking no older then me, held up by chains, blood dripping down her limp body as she starred over at me; pale.

"Oh my god." I whispered covering my mouth.

"The key." She whispered pointing her weak finger to the chair in the corner that had an old set of keys on it. I picked the keys up and as soon as I did so I felt my body slam against the stone wall causing me to cry out in pain. My head was forced against it and someone was leaning on me. Was it Harry?

"What are you doing!?" The voice growled.

"What are you doing?" I spat trying to get him off of me. "Get off!" I yelled. I was spun around only to be pined back starring into chocolate brown eyes; Zayn.

"Zayn what are you doing, this poor girl." I said frantically; looking over at her as she starred at him heavily looking pissed off.

"This isn't some girl, she deserves to die." He yelled.

"No one deserves to die you psychopath." I screamed trying to shake him off of me. I clutched onto the keys and brought my hand up, scratching it over his face causing him to let go of me and yell out. I ran over to the girl and her face lifted as I jiggled the key into one of the locks frantically.

"Hailey!" Zayn screamed getting up and pushing me back again so this time I fell back. I looked up at his angry face and it was healed. The sound of chains rattled and broke open and I sat there watching as Zayn and the girl growled at eachother. With a quick, powerful movement she shoved him back against the wall. She looked down at me and winked.

'I'll be seeing you." She said before vanishing. Zayn dashed out of the dungeon leaving me alone in the dark room sitting there shocked at what happened. I could hear yelling upstairs, exchanging between too deep voices. The door swung open and in the next second Harry stood infront of me; shirtless and in gym shorts making it impossible not to stare.

"Are you okay?" He said, worry projecting in his voice. I looked up into his green eyes and nodded slowly.

"Who was that?" I asked making him stare down at me.
