Rolling my windows down, enjoying the small breeze that flitted threw the crevasses of my hair, I made a mental list of my objections for when I make it home for what would seem the 10th time, constantly changing it up. Take a shower, dye my hair, eat perhaps? Yeah eat. Feed my turtle and no nap. I lost that wonderful privilege when I spent so much time with....well with... "Daniell." I murmured out loud. I felt a giggle brew in the pit of my stomach from hearing his name. I'm not one to be swooned, but surely having such an interesting conversation in the middle of their mourning, with a male or female, would make any one giddy.

Turning into my gaudy apartment I noticed that my roommate and best friends car was gone. Balancing my bag on my shoulder, laptop in my left hand, a half drunken monster on top of it, empty mug in my right hand and my car keys hanging on my fingers, I closed the car door with my left foot and headed for the our gaudy apartment loft. No where near to breaking a sweat, I stealthily unlocked the door placing my belongings safely on the bar like counter near the door while shutting in with my right foot. After settling everything and locking the door, I swiveled on my heels, only to be encounter a tall pale skinned, well built frame appear in front of me. "OH SHI- Jesus Christ stephan, you scared the life right out of me!" I complained while clutching my chest tightly.

Placing his hand stiffly on either sides of my hips, showing his prominent height compared to mine. A low rumble of a laugh slipped through his warming smile that played delicate on his features. His arm muscles flexing slightly as he held me. "I'm sorry Rain. I didn't mean to scare you." His minty breath brushed against my face, sending slight shivers down my spine. Stephan had that effect on me, ever since we were in grade school. Actually, Steph had that effect on anyone. But because he had this effect on everyone, I knew for a fact that I needed to keep my distance from him in public. I mean don't get me wrong, I've tried being around him in public, but it gets nerve wracking constantly having girls make sly comments about how unworthy I was and his guy friends constantly hitting on me to see how quickly they can get laid. It was irritating, it is irritating, that's why  I opt to stay to myself, rarely hanging with him in public.

I mean come on, I'm the weird kid to them. I'm a loner. I don't believe I look much different from any of them, but to them I'm like a foreign newly discovered   -Or undiscovered since I'm not really noticed-  species of animal. In their eyes, I'm undeserving of him and I don't entirely disagree. Pushing his hands off my hips, I brushed pass him, restring myself from turning back around and wrapping myself in his arms. "Yeah well, be careful, I won't hesitate to knock the snot out of you next time." Stealthily peeking over my shoulder, I could see his features dim and the corners of his mouth droop in disappointment. "Uh yeah, yeah, totally. My bad." Guilt tried to rise in my throat like bile, but I opted for ignoring it.

I sent him a crooked half-smile and headed for the bathroom, stripping my clothes off on the way. I could hear Stephans breath hitch in his throat as his eyes burned holes into my small frame. This brought a small amount of satisfaction to myself. It gave me assurance that no matter how many woman he may have slept with, simply staring at my back could catch him off guard. It's honestly all I have to prove I'm even worthy enough to be his friend. I pulled a towel from the bathroom shelf, concealing my vulnerable body from the world and began the shower water. "Hey Steph, can you be sweet and bring me my teal hair dye?" Hearing a faint yeah over the shower, I got my hair dying gloves out. Suddenly swept up by two giant yet gentle hands, I was removed from the bathroom and tossed on to Stephan's bed. Surprise taking away any means of communication I had, I stared wide eyed at Stephan, jaw dropped, trying desperately to form words.

His normal playful glint had turned into a seductive and lustful one. Slowly, I could hear his breathing becoming more unsteady as his chest rose and dropped, more shaken than the time before. A pheromone of his wafted towards my face and his sweet breath engulfed me lazily. Even though I was in a position almost any girl would kill for, I wasn't one to be called pleased. Silence rode through the room heavily as his stare became more and more intense, jerking from my eyes to my lips to my half exposed body and back. My palms began to sweat and I could feel my own breath becoming unsteady as I glanced over his perfectly chiseled body. "St-stephan.....W-what are you doing?" His eyes once over'd me again before finally settling on my eyes. "I don't know.......yet..." He lent down, aiming for my lips and me? Well, I wasn't sure if I was anticipating something or not but when the door bell rang, I was highly disappointed yet relived at the same time.
