Just a fake couple?

Tina's Pov

That's really kind of her to try to dry the puppy while asking puppy so many questions.  I can't help but stare at her. Then, I realize that her hair is a tad wet. So, I grab towel and make her hair dry. Man..her hair is so soft
.....

I am not sure I am just trying to help her or I just enjoy touching her hair.

"I wanna adopt him" her voice takes me back to reality.

"Hummm..how about ur parents? They don't mind? " I ask.

"They don't even care."

I can feel sort of pain from her voice and debate I should ask or not.

I change my mind about asking and pull in to a hug from her back.

"I don't know what happen with your family but I am here for you.  I can be your best friend. "

"Thank you" she said. She put puppy on my bed and hug me back. I can feel her sob....poor angel.

We heard the car pulled off into my yard so we stop hugging.

"I should go. Your parents are home I think. "
She doesn't seem to want go.  I don't want to let her go though.

"Umm..you can stay...I mean of course only if you want. "

She thinks for a while

"Thanks if you don't mind. I would love to stay."

Let's go downstairs and meet my mom.

"Mom mom.."

"Oh honey, I miss you.  How is your day." my mom asks me while giving me a kiss on my forehead. 

"Where's dad?" I ask because I don't see my father.  My parents work together at the same company so they usually get back together.

" Dad has to travel business. ."

"Ugh...your boss should let him rest for a while. "

"Yeah..." my mom answers and now she sees Sam.

"Mom, this is Sam, my friend from school. "

"Hello Sam, nice to meet you,  call me Lauren. "

"Nice to meet you Lauren. "

"Mom, do you mind if Sam sleeps here tonight? "

"No..why would I mind? I am thankful that you already got friend. And I bet you guys are hungry."

My stomach agrees my making noise.

"Since today's rainy, how about noodles soup?"

"Yayy.." I cheer up.

"What you think Sam? Have you tried home made noodles soup?"

"I haven't.  It sound delicious. "

"Good then noodles soup. You girls hang out and I will cook."

"I can help you, mom"

"No thanks sweetie.  Hang out with Sam."

"How about I participate in helping you,  Lauren? "

"Oh..it's so nice of you Sam but  you're a guest.

"Please,  I wanna see how you cook."

"Ok, if you insist.  You will see how clumsy and slow Tina is when she helps me with my cooking. "

"Mom.....

." I can't help but pout. It makes Sam smile larger. Yayyy...
