Scarlet Love

Chapter 4~ Monsters together

----------Time skip----------

After getting ready and drinking our coffee while making small talk, I dropped Aoba off at his job at Heibon and gave him a big hug before walking home. On my way back to my apartment, I lit another cigarette while feeling the anxiety build up of being a burden and decided I didn't need an allmate anymore. I gently took her off my neck and put the chip into my pocket, placing the carrier into my other pocket.

After walking for a few more minutes, I unlocked my black and sliver door and walked inside. I took off my shoes and hung my coat in the small closet by the door. I went to straight to my bathroom and took a shower, hoping to wash away all my anxiety about being a burden. I got out and wrapped a grey towel around my body.

I walked into the kitchen to grab a drink and saw a familiar bunny cube on the counter. I grabbed it gently and turned it on. "Where's your owner?" I asked the cube like you would a small child. "In the living room! P!" It replied with a high pitched voice that made my ears hurt.

I grabbed the cube and walked into my living room holding two sodas. Noiz's back was facing the doorway, hands typing away on his many keyboards at an inhuman speed. I opened a can and he spun around to face me. "You know, a heads up would've been nice" I said leaning against the doorway, smirking smugly at him.

One look at me and he immediately blushed, I knew why but didn't care. 'They're just body parts right?' I thought. "Here, have a soda." I said as I tossed him the unopened one. He caught it easily, and I heard a small thank you."Make yourself at home if you like, I'm gonna go get changed." I said I turned around and headed toward my room.

I changed and dried my hair. I put on black yoga capris and tank top, along with my normal undergarments. I walked into the living room and saw Noiz sitting on the couch, watching TV and eating matcha pocky. I plopped down next to him and reached over to grab the pocky out of his hand. After watching a few minutes of the news and eating pocky, I remembered I was holding his bunny cube.

"Oh I almost forgot, Here's your bunny cube!" I said as I gently grabbed his hand and placed the cube in it then turned back to the TV. "Why are you being so nice to me?" He asked harshly as he looked at me questioningly, his green eyes burning  into mine. "Why not? You haven't done anything bad to me and I know you to a certain extent. Since you're already here, might as well treat you as a friend" I said, not backing down and giving him a smile, looking into his green eyes at the last part.

Suddenly, I heard a loud click and felt big hands around my waist, feeling him pull me into his lap, my back to his chest. He nuzzled into the crook of my neck and snaked his arms around my waist. I just let him hold me because I felt like he needed it. "Scarlet?" He asked, his voice slightly muffled by my shirt. I hummed in response. "Why don't you cover you scars and tattoos? I'm not saying they're ugly but I'm just curious"

I sighed "Well, I don't cover my scars and tattoos because it reminds me that I if I survive 13 years in a tower while being chained like a monster then I can do anything, why do you wrap your hands?" Without another word he placed his hands into my lap and unwrapped them. I gently grabbed his hand and compared it to mine. And at that moment, I understood everything. "I was locked away too. Even though I had everything I could ever want, I was still lonely. My own parents called me a monster too" he said quietly as he moved his arms back onto my waist and squeezing me like a sad child would it's teddy bear.

"I understand how you feel because I feel the exact same way" I said quietly. He nuzzled into me and hugged me tighter. We stayed like for a while, watching some entertaining shows and I occasionally played with his hair, which to my pleasant surprise was very soft. I enjoyed the way we were so I let it happen. Then my stomach growled. He chuckled. "Are you hungry?" He asked smugly against my neck. "Well yeah, are you hungry? I could order some pizza if you want" I asked with a small embarressed blush on my face. "I could go for some pizza" he said causally.
