Millie's POV:

My head was still hurting as I woke up. I flinched as I saw myself lying in a bed, I quickly looked around realizing that I didn't know the place. The memories came back, the men running after me, they wanted to grab me. I screamed and jumped out of the bed, trying to run away. My head was spinning around as I fell on the ground, still dizzy. I tried to get up but I couldn't. Suddenly I felt big hands grabbing my waist from behind and I let out a scream.

“Don't, don't hurt me”

“I wont hurt you”

I heard a deep, husky voice whispering into my ear. I choked as I slowly turned, my hands on my head because it was still hurting. He looked at me with his green eyes. I could tell he was worried. But I was scared, I was scared as hell.

“D-don't, don't hurt me” I whispered again, I felt a tear running down my cheek.

I was too weak to escape his strong hands as he pulled me in for a hug.

“I wont hurt you, shhhhh. Calm down, you're safe with me”

He whispered into my ear. He pulled me closer, his chin was resting on my head. I leaned against his chest as I felt myself getting weak again. My knees were shaking and I couldn't hold myself any longer. I sobbed into his chest, tears were running non-stop.

“Don't hurt me” I begged.

He lifted me up from the ground and carried me back to the bed. I was still crying as he laid me back down on the bed, his arms holding me tight to his chest.

“Shhhhh you're safe with me” he whispered again.

I drifted off to sleep again. I wasn't sleeping deep, that was why I sometimes trembled and I could feel him holding me then, trying to calm me down with his deep voice.

--

As I finally opened my eyes again, I looked into his green eyes. He pulled an insecure smile, I had to admit he looked extremely worried. I tried to act calm, but I slowly released me from his embrace and slid away from him. I had the urge to scream for help but decided not to scream.

“What did you do to me?” I asked almost inaudible.

He looked confused and pinched the eyebrows.

“Why did you kidnap me, punch me and now you're trying to protect me or whatever this is about?” I asked my voice getting louder.

He slowly stood up, trying to avoid looking at me. He cleared his throat as he pointed at the door.

“I just saved you from two bastards who were ready to do horrible things to you, but if that is your way of saying thank you.” He turned around to face me. “Feel free to leave”

I slowly sat up, the weight on my elbows as I stared at him. I didn't know why I began to cry but the tears began to stream down my face. I looked at him in disbelief not knowing how to react. He was so kind but scary and rude as the same time. I was confused and still not realizing what just happened to me.

“I- I don't understand”

That was all I could say as I turned myself around, throwing my head onto the bed and sobbing into the pillow. After a while I heard him leaving and I was too exhausted to cry anymore. I pushed myself off the bed, glancing through his bedroom. I went down the stairs not knowing trying to be really silent so I could just leave the house without him noticing. I opened the door and wanted to leave as I heard his raspy voice behind me.

“I'm sorry, for actually looking after you. I guess it was a mistake saving you from them.”

I turned around, searching for his eyes as I gasped in disbelief. He stood there watching me, his eyes told me that he was disappointed. He shrugged his shoulders and took a deep breath waiting for me to say something. I looked down at my feet trying to held back the tears. Why was I such a baby, always crying. I sniffled as I looked at him.

“I'm sorry, I don't know you. You show up in my life – you act like you actually know me. You followed me around, trying to protect me and then I end up in your bedroom. I don't know what's happening, I don't know you.”

He took a step towards me but as I flinched back he stopped.

“I didn't want to scare you Amelia” He said, his voice sounded really sad.

“Don't call me Amelia” I cried “Don't act like you know me, because you don't know me at all. Don't act like you can just show up in my life trying...”

He stopped me by pulling me into a deep hug. His arms held me close to his body. I didn't hug him back. I just cried. As always.

“I'm sorry” he whispered. “But I can explain”

I could hear his heart beating really fast and maybe that was the reason I suddenly relaxed in his arms. I just stood there, waiting for him to let me out of his embrace but he didn't move. His heart was beating faster as he took a step back and finally released me. He bend his knees to look me deep into the eyes.

“I can explain all that, but I need you to believe me” He smiled weakly “I don't want to hurt you”

I nodded and he showed me the way to his living room. He pointed at the couch and I sat down in front of him. He took a deep breath before he began to explain.
