How it happened...

Before you get quick to judge just listen. My name Is Nina Castallano, I'm 24, I live in San Diego California and love post hardcore, punk, metal, and that kind of stuff. Anyways I'm off track so anyways how it happened. I was In the car with my best friend Natalia we were currently listening to Sarcasm by Get Scared screaming the lyrics like crazy people, when we saw a bright light coming at us and then everything went black.

When I woke up I was in a hospital bed and I had a cast on my arm and my neck in a brace and I was surrounded by my family and friends...all except Natalia. Everyone was whispering and when I cleared my throat everyone stared right at me for a few moments then began to scream to get the nurse and asked me a billion questions "are you okay?" and everyone cried tears of joy. After everything settled down everyone was silent I then asked "Where's Natalia?" everyone stared and told me she was in the ICU still in a different part they said we were both in a coma, but I was the only one who pulled threw so far.

I got out of bed grabbed the pole thing and began to walk away. My family knew what I was doing and weren't going to try to stop me. I walked around ICU nurses telling me to get back to my room and trying to guide me. Until I saw Natalia. I ran to her room and sat by her side waiting for her to Wake up. Tears streamed from my eyes as I saw my best friend laying In the bed. She opened her eyes but didn't speak or move ever a finger. The doctor came in and evaluated the situation and said she was most likely to survive but she was suffering from locked-in syndrome and with treatment could be cured. That's all I needed to hear was that she would stay with me just a little longer in the world.

I went back to my room to see that there were more people in the room...like a lot. See my mom knew a lot of people and they included the boys from Motionless in White, Get Scared, Pierce the Veil, Sleeping with sirens, Bring me the Horizon, and Asking Alexandria. I never met them though they were close when I was a baby and then when I got older they were big and always on tour. The amount of people in the room was insane there was no room what so ever. I pushed my way through to get to the bed. When I got to the bed everyone stopped and starred until I blurted out "What do I have a monkey on top of my head? Keep talkin and stop starin". They all continued talking and some came over and tried to ask me questions but could tell now wasn't a good time.

In the midst of everything a cop came to my room to investigate and get my side of the story as he talked to the other driver who only had a couple bumps and bruises. "Okay my name is detective Martinez can you describe the accident to me?" he asked. "Well me and my best friend Natalia were out for a drive listening to music in the car and singing when all the sudden a pair of headlights where coming at us, I turned the wheel sharply to try to turn the car around to avoid the head on collision but he was going to fast and then everything went black" I replied. "Okay and can you give me an approximate time that this happened?" "around 9:30 I would say". "Wonderful thank you very much for you're cooperation and we will check back in with you if we hear any news on the trial date or if we have any further questions. m'kay?" "okay thank you officer". Then he left and everyone went back to talking. I grabbed my phone plugged in headphones and tried to relax my unnerving stomach. I couldn't hear what anyone said but I saw the huge pizza come in and immediately took out my headphones. "Well someone's hungry"Mom said with a chuckle. "Well duh what do you think I am a robot or something?" everyone giggled and continued to eat their pizza. I sat in bed eating my pizza and listening to music and soon after fell asleep. I woke up screaming and crying after a flashback. Everyone was trying to calm me down but I pushed them away. I ripped the tubes out of my body and ran to Natalia's room to see her. She was just sitting there eyes open doing nothing. I saw she was some what okay and went back to my room and explained to them I was fine.

Most everyone went home for the night as I was only in here for overnight observation so they could declare if I was mentally and physically ready to go home.

*time skip to the morning* I woke up and say a doctor sitting in a chair in the corner of the room he stood up and walked out and began talking to a nurse. He came back in and said "You are clear to go home we just need your mother to sign your release forms and you'll be all set" "I will text her and let her know to come up thank you" I replied. I texted my mom and told her to come up. She signed the paper then I was transferred to a wheelchair as everyone is when they are released from the hospital and wheeled out to the parking lot to the car that was next to a ton of tour buses.
