"Ray, wake up!" I hear someone say while I was being shaken by them. It was Ben. I open my eyes and look around. I'm on a rolling hospital bed. "Ray!" Ann says. "I've been so worried about you! You're going to be fine! We fixed you up real good!" I looked at my shoulder ,and sure enough, there was a bandage around my shoulder. "How did you make the pain go completely away?" I said curiously. "I... Actually I don't know. I think that before the Cyber-War, this was a military technology testing facility. When we came here, there was tons of super advanced tech. Without it, I don't think we would have lasted this long." She said. There was a longing in her voice... Like she wish she could experience the world before the war. I hear it started 65 years ago, before she was even born. I feel bad for her. Not that I've experienced anything good that I can remember. I got up and went to talk to Ben. I needed to tell him about my vision. I stopped to think about it first. What if he thinks I'm going crazy? What if he kicks me out? I decided not to tell him. I go over the prophecy in my head a thousand times. Does it mean save the people, but also end the cyborgs? It makes my brain hurt. But for now, it doesn't matter. I began walking down a hallway. Thats when it happened. A weird portal type thing just appeared there! The lights started to flicker, and then shut off. I had a small emergency flashlight, but I didn't need it, because the blue portal was glowing! The doors weren't working, so I just stood back and watched. "Shit! Get this door open! Get the breaching explosives!" Some guards shouted from behind the door I was leaning against. "No!" I shouted. "If you blow that, you blow me too!" I thought about my poor choice of words. I quickly snapped out of my zone-out and got back to the portal! All of a sudden, it closed! There was a blinding white flash, and when I could see, a girl about my age was lying on the ground under where the portal was. She had brown hair. It was like when I came into the zombie world... Wait, could she... Could she have the same... Thing... I have? I ran to her and kneeled by her side with this realization. "Do you remember anything?" I asked as she opened her eyes. "My name is..." She said. "Lyra"
