I sniffled as I took a sip of my coffee. The weather was beginning to take a turn for the worst. I pulled my red scarf up as it began to slip down and my tiny table was suddenly bombarded by my four friends, Sora Yamazaki, Yoshi Iki, Seiko Yuu, and Rea Furu. My name for starters is Aya Sakata.

"Aya-chan!" They all screamed in unison. I gripped the cup in my hand nearly breaking it, originally trying not to spill all of it's hot contents all over my legs. "Hey guys." I said softly. I gave them a bright smile.

"Tomorrow's the release! Are you ready?" Sora yelped happily.

"There's nothing to be excited about. We all have a NerveGear, we're all beta testing." I said as I put my cup down.

"Yeah! But, we finally get to play the game for real this time! With a whole bunch more people this time too!" He extended his hands up in the air with delight as he spoke. Seiko reached out her hand and pat him on the head playfully.

"You need to relax more." She said.

"But I can't! I'm just so excited! This is gonna be awesome! Once the game comes out, I'm gonna play SAO nonstop."

  I laughed at his comment.

"We should form a guild once we start. What should we call ourselves?" I said, taking another sip from my coffee.

"You'll be the leader!" Rea said matter of factly.

"Well, I don't know about that. You guys really think so?" I said as my cheeks turned a bright pink color.

"Of course we think so!" Yoshi said. "You'll do great."

"Okay, I'll do it. I'll be the leader."

  "Awesome!" Sora hollered.

At that moment, thinking back, I shoud have declined their request. Maybe, just maybe....

The sky grew dark and we all said our goodbyes and sayonaras. I walked home and finally reached my two story house. The lights were on, signalling that my parents were back from work.

"Tadaima!" I said as I stepped inside. My mother poked her head out from the kitchen and smiled.

"Okaerinasai." She turned away and went back into the kitchen and I took my shoes off. I stepped inside.

  "I'll be in my room."

"Okay, dear. Be back in time for dinner."

"You got it." I said as I struke a thumbs up to her. "Hey, dad."

"Uh-huh." He muttered without looking up from his tablet, reading the news. I scurried into my room and shut off the lights and logged in.

  "Link start!" I commanded.

I swung the machete in my right hand forcefully and it struck the monster in front of me with a single blow. It exploded into that familiar twinkling sound and shimmering polygons.

"Aya! Help!" I heard someone call out to me and I turned my head to the source. It was Sora. He was in battle with one monster and another was joining in on the fun. I kicked the one that attacked me and as it fell to the ground I struck it in the chest and ran to save Sora.

"Hya!" I cried as I struck the second monster. Sora managed to fight off the one he was with and we split up to join everyone else.

The fight had lasted for about 45 minutes to an hour. When the boss finally shattered into pieces, I fell to my knees breathing heavily.
