MASSIVE TRIGGER WARNING

*bulimia isn't making yourself puke every once in a while
*self injury isn't taking a razor to your skin when he breaks up with you again
drug addiction isn't trying it once
*insomnia isn't not sleeping for two nights
*schizophrenia isn't seeing things when you're high
MPD isn't acting like someone you're not because you're upset
*depression isn't feeling low for a week
*anxiety isn't being nervous before a test "alright so i think it necessary to talk about this because this pisses me off to all highs so just hear me out on this one.
*1. alright, so just skipping one meal, and that being it, may not be anorexia, though if it was on purpose because the person believes they are too fat, that is anorexia, i don't think people understand that just because someone suffers from anorexia doesn't mean they are skin and bones like this people whom are publicised for having anorexia
*2. lemme just grab a definition and
an emotional disorder characterized by a distorted body image and an obsessive desire to lose weight, in which bouts of extreme overeating are followed by fasting or self-induced vomiting or purging.
that right there is the 'definition' of bulimia... realise how the word bouts is bolded? meaning it can come in and out, so making yourself puke occasionally, is still considered bulimia, a'ight?*3. THIS ONE PISSES ME OFF SO HARD DONT ANYONE DARE SAY TAKING A RAZOR TO YOUR SKIN ISNT SELF INJURY BECAUSE IT IS, HOLY FUCKING HELL, SELF INJURY DOES NOT HAVE TO CHRONICALLY HAPPEN FOR IT TO BE CONSIDERED SELF INJURY, SELF INJURY IS ANY FORM OF HURTING YOURSELF WITH YOUR OWN INTENTION, NO MATTER WHAT THE FUCK IT IS, SO SHUT THE FUCK UP BECAUSE THAT IS SELF INJURY
*4. not sleeping for two nights, if it's not on purpose and because you just can't sleep,not your mind won't shut up, that is insomnia, even if it is only in a minor form, there is no other way to identify that than insomnia, i don't think people understand that, insomnia is the inability to sleep or find rest, generally due to a persons mind being unable to shut down, remember that
*5. this isn't too major but informative, it is true that seeing things while high isn't having schizophrenia, though it can lead to it, so be careful
*6. depression is the state of feeling, down or low for an elongated period of time, and yes, believe it or not, a week is and elongated period of time to be sad, i myself have been depressed for nearly four years, so a week doesn't seem like much, especially to people who have suffered for even longer than i, but that doesn't mean that feeling low for a week isn't depression, like with my point about insomnia, it is just a lower form, but it still doesn't change the fact that it is depression
*7. feeling nervous for a test is in fact anxiety, what it isn't, is anxiety disorder, or a panic disorder. people need to realise not only the difference but the association in which they have with each other, minor anxieties can build up over time if they aren't dealt with properly, which can cause an anxiety or panic disorder
a final note
just wanted to get this out / off my chest alright? now, i just want to say to finalise my thoughts on this
don't fucking belittle someone for their mental state or illnesses
no matter how large or small they happen to be
if you suffer from a mental illness or have a bad mental state
and see someone of a lesser degree, don't tell them they aren't valid
as you of all people should understand how it feels
just because someone doesn't have a high degree of mental illness
doesn't mean they don't still suffer, to them it's bad and a scary place
which it is, so please, be kind to people, people are so fragile after all
they break too easily so be careful with others emotions and
treat yourself in the same waythat is all hope the message got across peace out broha
