I quit soccer and my friends ditched me things seemed to be looking down for me. At this point in my life nothing was going right for me. I turned to writing my stories because the friends I used to have never really supported my decision to write. Soon they all started to make fun of me and look at me for who I used to be. I just think sometimes what if my father had lived? Then again he would want me to live my life while I am alive. As much as I want to make him proud of me and what I can accomplish I have to try to make it through high school first. Once I make this connection with myself I quickly pick up my pen and my notebook and run the one of my teachers who had wanted me to enter the writing contest. I ran to room A312 where my teacher Mr.Hawthorne was in the middle of teaching his English class. I pounded on the door like an idiot but at least I got his attention . Mr. Hawthorne immediately opened the door and yelled at me saying I thought I told you that I was not interested in giving you a dumb make up test Adam. I said well my name isn't Adam and that isn't why I am here Mr. Hawthorne. Oh I'm sorry Eric what is it that you want as you can see I am in the middle of teaching a class here. I told Mr. Hawthorne that I was sorry for interrupting his class but I had decided to enter the writing contest. Mr. Hawthorne looked like he had seen a ghost when I said that but gave me a form to fill out so that I could enter the writing contest.
I took the form and filled it out that very night when I got to the abandoned house. I thought to myself this could be my chance to make my father proud so I decided to start working on my story. I decided to write about something similar to what I am going through right now. I decided also that I can't keep staying here. This place gets kind of drafty from the lack of heat within this house that and I kind of feel paranoid. I remembered something my father had told me a long time ago that "no matter what happens I have to keep on moving forward and living this life no matter the cost". I say to myself that this living arrangement is temporary. I soon fall asleep under my blanket that I had brought from my old home. I then wake up early and I head to school and enter the guys locker room and take a shower and brush my teeth. I then change into some spare clothes that I had in my gym locker. I then use my gym deodorant and quickly leave the locker room with my backpack. I then go to breakfast and sit in my corner of the lunch room at an old empty table. I quickly eat my breakfast and then I look away for a minute to see the guys I used to be friends with laughing and joking with each other. I start to remember how the guys and I used to laugh about things and give each other advice about what we happened to be going through at the time. After reminiscing for a bit I quickly left the cafeteria and headed to the commons area right outside of the cafeteria and found and empty corner and continued writing my story for the writing contest.Meanwhile the guys were talking about Eric and how he came pounding on Mr. Hawthorne's door yesterday. They started coming up with theories that Eric had been out of his mind or maybe even he was on drugs. Aries said well you know he just lost his father so maybe that is why he entered the writing contest. Jose and the other guys say sure but there is a problem with your theory his father died in September of last year. Aries said don't you think I know that Jose. Jose says I don't think you do but it's okay at least he should be okay right. Aries points out the fact that Eric had been running home lately and last thing that I heard from y mother is that he had run away from home and his mother has been worried sick about him. Jose says well maybe we should find out where is going afterschool everyday since you say that he hasn't been going home according to his mother. Aries says fine but if we find out that he is somewhere where he shouldn't be we need to confront him. Jose said fine even though it was him that stopped being friends with us in the first place. Aries said have you ever thought that maybe he acts the way he does now because he is going through something that me and you aren't going through and that it is hard. Jose said whatever you say Aries but he is probably just fine without us.
Then the bell rings for my first class of the day and I put my notebook away and start heading to class on my own as usual. I hand in my form in order to enter the writing contest and Mr. Hawthorne seemed pleased with my decision to enter the contest. I felt a sense of confidence that the story that I am writing will impact and change the lives of people within his school and district. I then proceeded to think that if my father could see me now that he would be proud of me for doing this for myself. I started on Mr. Hawthorne's essay on friendship. I quickly remembered how I used to have friends and channeled that part of me in order to write my essay. Once the bell rang for my next class I was done and I handed it in. Mr. Hawthorne had a certain look on his face that I couldn't seem to figure out if it was good or not. I just assumed the look on his face was good and I continued my day as usual and then it was time for me to go home. When I left the classroom I could've sworn that someone was following me so I decided to take the long way home. Then I came to a conclusion that I lost them and quickly ran in the abandoned house which I call home.
