Chapter Thirty-Six Counting Down the Days

"Ok," Coulson said as him, Bobbi, Hunter, Skye, and Ward all sat in the lounge room for their secret meeting. "I finished planning the wedding, and you guys are going to love it!"
"Great," Ward said. "Now can we know who's coming?"
"Of course not!" Coulson exclaimed. "It has to be a surprise!"
"Thank you Coulson," Skye said. "For doing all this."
"My pleasure! I loved planning my OTP's wedding! Now if you excuse me, I have to get to bed so I can be a director tomorrow!"
Coulson got up and left.
"Yeah I should probably get to bed too," Hunter said as he stretched and got up. "Goodnight."
He kissed Bobbi on the cheek before heading to his room.
"I'm going to go too," Bobbi said and got up to leave.
"Well, it looked like it's just us," Ward said with a smile.
Skye smiled back. "I guess so."
She laughed as Ward tickled her.
"Stop! Stop!"
Then she kicked him in the side.
"Ow!" He exclaimed and fell back on the couch.
Skye gasped. "Ward, are you ok?"
"I'll be ok if you kiss me," he replied with a grin.
Skye sighed and punched him. "You tricked me!"
Then Ward reached for her waist.
"No!" Skye yelled and leaped up. Then she ran around the coffee table. "Ha! You didn't get me this time!"
Ward ran after her but she ran around to the other side of the table. Ward kept chasing her and eventually caught up to her. He grabbed her waist and pulled her back.
"No no no no no!" Skye laughed as he picked her up.
Ward laughed too as he picked his little fiancé up into his arms. They both grinned as their noses touched. Ward finally set her down as she sighed. She didn't let go of him, but instead snuggled in closer and hugged him. Ward kissed her on the head. Then they both sat back down on the couch.
"Can you say it," Skye asked.
"Say what?" Ward asked.
"What you told me," Skye went on. "All those ages back to when you were in the basement. Tell me what you had been wanting to tell me for months."
Ward smiled and leaned in. "I love you Skye," he whispered into her ear.
Skye smiled as she heard those precious sounds.
"Now you say it," Ward replied.
Skye smiled and blushed.
"Come on," Ward said and tightened his grip around her playfully.
Skye looked up at him with big eyes. "I love you Ward."
Ward grinned and leaned in to kiss her.
"I should go," Skye finally said.
"Yeah me too," Ward replied.
Ward walked Skye to her bedroom before kissing her on the cheek and heading off to his room.

"SKYE!!!!!" Bobbi pounded on Skye's door.
Skye leaped out of bed. "Huh?!"
"Come on! We're gonna be late! Remember where we're going?!"
Skye rubbed her eyes. "Oh yeah."
She quickly got ready for the day and met Bobbi in the hallway. They walked into the garage and got in a car.
"You told Coulson where we're going right?" Skye asked.
Bobbi nodded. "Trust me, he knows."

"Ooooh Skye that ones so cute!" Bobbi squealed as Skye looked at herself in the mirror.
They were at a dress store, looking at wedding dresses. Skye twirled around and looked at herself happily in the mirror. She watched as her long, fluffy, white dress swooshed around.
"Yeah, it is really pretty," Skye smiled.
Then they heard a knock on the wall. They turned to see Hunter holding a box of chocolates.
"I think you can guess who these are from," He said.
Skye smiled as she took the box of chocolates from him. She read the card that was hanging from them.

Dear Skye,
I can't wait to see you walk down the isle. You're going to look pretty in any dress you end up getting. I love you beautiful.

Skye grinned overwhelmingly and sighed. Hunter smiled at Skye's happiness. Then he looked at Bobbi.
"This needs to be us!" He said through gritted teeth.
"I said we'll talk about it later!" She glared at him.
Skye looked down awkwardly. Then Hunter cleared his throat.
"I better go," he said and quickly left.
Skye sighed and went to look at another dress. She didn't think the one she was wearing was the right one. She pulled back the dresses and gasped. That's the one!
