Cindy,
On with the story of how Logan helped me to recover.
+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
I walked into school, clutching my T&A shoulder bag. The bell had already run, and if I didn't hurry I'd be late to homeroom, and Mrs. Teagan would kill me.
I rushed to my locker, and threw it open. Naturally, at least most of my upper locker decided to all out, and hit me in the head.
"OW!" I cried. What was with me and hitting my head lately? Whatever, not the point. I piled my stuff in, grabbed what I needed for my first class, and ran off to homeroom, right in the middle of the teacher taking attendance.
She clucked her tongue disapprovingly. "One more time, Anna, and I'm calling home,"
I blushed. I had a habit of running late, so I quietly sat in my desk, and turned around.
My best friend's bright blue eyes gleamed.
"Thank god, Anna! What if you hadn't come and I was alone for the day?" Dakota scolded. I hung my head, and she laughed.
"I'm here, aren't I? What class do you have first?"
"Home Ec, where I can cook with Jaxon," she sighed in content. She had a major crush on my COUSIN Jaxon, who barely knew her name. Jaxon and I, however, were extremely close for cousins, almost like siblings.
I wrinkled my nose. "I hate it when you talk about him like that, it sounds so weird,"
"Well, I don't have any hot cousins, so you'll just have to deal," she replied, sticking her tongue out at me. Suddenly, the bell rang, and my homeroom got up and walked out the door. I had drama first, so I headed to the theater.
"Hey! Heeey! Anna, wait up!" called a familiar voice. Well, speak of the devil and the devil will appear.
Just to annoy him, I kept walking. Jaxon caught up to me, breathing hard and glaring. His light blonde hair was messed up, and I raised my hand to mess it up even more. His green eyes narrowed.
"Hey, Jaxxy," I said, smiling at him. He smacked my head with his hand, and I glared at him.
"No need for human abuse," I muttered.
"You're barely human,"
"No need for woman abuse,"
"There's a need, don't worry. What class do you have, Annie?"
"Uh, Drama. Don't call me Annie. I'll see you at lunch," I called over my shoulder, waving my hand. He nodded, and kept walking.
I took a seat on the school stage, and looked to see who was there. And my mouth nearly hit the ground.
I don't think I'd ever noticed Logan in my class before. But there he sat, looking out at the seats, with his tousled black hair and light eyes. Why on Earth make one boy so attractive?
I'd been in this class for like a month, and had never noticed him before, my observation skills were truly mind-blowing.
He finally looked up, and ours eyes met. Logan's eyes widened in surprise, and I'm sure mine did too.
He smirked, got up, and walked over.
"Hey, bestie," he said, sitting down beside me. I glanced at him.
"We are so not besties,"
"That hurts, Anna. Right in my heart," he placed a hand on his chest, and I snorted.
Anna, you idiot. Stop being so cold and rude! And oh my goodness, he remembers my name! I thought excitedly.
"Your heart will have to heal itself then, won't it?" I grinned, and groaned on the inside.
"Suppose so. You been in this class long?"
"Since the beginning,"
"Good, you can tell me what we're doing. I actually just moved here about a week ago and wasn't given my classes until now. This is my first day in Drama,"
Well, at least that meant my observation skills were probably decent enough still.
"We're going to be preforming skits from famous plays. We find out who are partners are today. So, where'd you move from?"
"I moved here from New York. It's way less loud here," Logan motioned around with his hands.
"Yeah, you're probably right," I said, comparing my much tinier home of Seattle to New York City.
Just then, the teacher walked in. She clapped her hands, and let out a breath of air, smiling,
"Hello, students! We have a lot to do, so I'm going to tell you your partners right away, and I can do attendance later. First, is Sophia and Derek!" she started to list off the names, and I stared at her, bored, waiting for my name to come along.
"Anna and Zack!" I noticed that we were the last people to be called. I waved Zack over- we were kind of friends, but not close ones. We'd gone to the same middle school, and we'd never really talked.
"Anna," he nodded. Logan stood up beside me, and stretched, and had a funny expression on his face, that I didn't recognize.
"Well, Annie, I'll go talk to the teacher and get things sorted out. Maybe I'll see you later?" asked Logan. I grinned and nodded.
"Yeah, that'd be great!" he gave me a crooked smile, and walked away. Then I turned to Zack.
"So what do we do?" he asked.
"No idea," I replied.
After class was over, a wasted period spend of arguing over what play to use, I rushed to find Dakota. She was waiting at my locker like she always was.
"Woah, slow down. Why're you running around everywhere?" she asked, holding up her hands.
"You're not going to believe what happened," I gasped, putting my stuff away.
"What?" she asked curiously.
"I was at the book store on Sunday, and I met the cutest guy ever there. And he just moved here, he's in my Drama class!" I cheered, walking down the hall with her to the cafeteria.
"You think I'm cute?" said a deep voice behind me. I groaned, and turned around.

Of course he heard what I said, that's just my perfect luck. Hope you like these letters-
