Chapter 1: Just another beginning

February 14, most widely known as VALENTINES DAY. A day where couples around the world are all lovey-dovey with each other and forever aloners are either desperately trying find themselves a partner or feel bad about themselves and go cry in a corner. 

Well our story begins on February 13, the day before valentines day. Meet Jake, a 14 year old highschooler. He's one of those FOREVER ALONERS. 

*Beep5x*

"Huh?" Jake moans as he wakes up to the sound of his alarm. He picks up his cell and and stops the beeping. As he stare at the screen he then lets out a big sigh, "It's tomorrow already?" he pouted. For him, valentines day is the worst day of his year since he doesn't have a partner to share it with. He gets jealous and upset at all the couples that are happy around him. Well, as he stare at his screen a little longer he noticed something, "7:30!!! OH CRAP! I'M ALREADY LATE FOR SCHOOL!!!" he shouted and quickly got dressed and ran down stairs. "Good morning Ja-" His mom said as she wasn't able to finish it because Jake was in a rush. "Sorry Mom! I'm in a hurry" Jake said. "At least have breakfast!" His mom replied but since Jake was in a hurry he just took a pack of bread that was on the table and ran off to the door heading to school. "Sigh, I don't know what to do with that kid..." Jake's Mom said to herself.

Jake running off to school with a piece of bread in his mouth panicking. School wasn't that far from his house so it was a short walk and a quick run. "Yes, I made it" Jake said while panting as he enters the school gates. Knowing he was late he was sneaking through the hallways to his classroom trying to avoid teachers seeing him. "Tardy again, Mr. Rhymes?" a voice behind Jake said. As Jake turned around he saw the school's prefect of discipline "U-uh.. Mr. Shaun! How are you doing today?" Jake said trying to be innocent. "Sigh. 'Causing trouble for me first thing in the morning... as always" Mr. Shaun said to him with a serious face. "Can you let it slide for this time pleeeeaaase Mr. Shaun?" Jake begs. "I've been letting you slide for lots of times now, you won't be able to get out of this one.." Mr. Shaun says to him and gives him a broom. "E-eh? What's this broom for?" Jake said in confusion. "You're sweeping the halls today..." Mr. Shaun said, "B-but what about class?.." Jake trying to get out of the penalty. "Don't worry, everyone will be busy today preparing for tomorrow's Valentines Festival so you won't be skipping classes today, now get to work, I expect this hallway to be clean by noon time". Mr. Shaun ordered before he left to attend other matters. "Ughh. Not a good day" Jake said. He watches as everyone around him was excited and filled with enthusiasm as they prepared lots of stuff for the Valentines Festival. 

*Stomach Grumbles*

"ARghh.. I don't feel so well" Jake said. He then suddenly faints and falls to the ground....
