Smiling, I sigh. Nobody will ever find me here. Th door opens slightly, but I blame it on the breeze. I walk in and look around. After running for a while, I'd found an abandoned cabin. After shaking off a feeling of nervousness, I claimed it as my hideout until I figures things out.

"You can't hide from me..." The girl's voice say. "I've been with you since you broke the promise, and I won't leave."

"What'll make you leave me alone?" I gripe, sitting at the table and looking in the distance as if I was talking to someone across the table. "I don't know what you're talking about!"

"You broke our promise." It growls. "You must die."

I groan. Another thing that wants me dead. The floorboards creak a little and I tense up. I pull the rope out of my pocket and turn towards the doorway. A shadow falls over me and my eyes widen. Then I let out a sigh of relief.

"It's just you." I smile and pat my leg. "Come here, Smile!"

The red dog walks up to me and turns towards the door. He barks and three figures step out. I stop smiling and back up towards the door.

"I'm not going back." I frown and grip the rope tighter in my pocket.

"Come on, Meg." Toby frowns. "Boss wants you."

"No!" I yell. The other two step in the light and my eyes widen. He sent all three. He must be serious. "I-I need to go!"

I run out the door and hear all three chase after me. Hoodie pulls something out and yells into it for everyone to come.

---------------------------------------Time Skip---------------------------------------------

"Don't come any closer!" I yell. All of them, grouped up, freeze as I step backwards, closer to the cliff.

"Come on, Meg." Max coaxes, "Don't do anything stupid."

"Do it Meg." The voice whispers in my ear. "Keep your promise."

-------------------------------------Flashback---------------------------------------------------

I grin and look at Rose. She smiles and holds out her hand. I brush the hair out of my face and take her hand.

"Okay..." She looks at her phone's screen. "We're almost done with the blood oath..."

"What's the last thing?" I ask.

"We've drawn blood, our hands are together..." She squints, then smiles. She looks up to me and grips my hand tighter. "Read this with me." She sets her phone down and we read what it says.

"By blood, we promise to stay together." We recite, nervousness and excitement filling our hearts. "Never to break the promise. Never to betray. If one dies, we both do. If one breaks the promise, the other shuns her. We will stay together. Forever."

"And it is done!" Rose grins so wide I can see her pearly white teeth. "We will be best friends forever!"

-------------------------------------End Of Flashback-------------------------------------------

I freeze as tears flow down my face. They all look at me, nervous of what I might do next.

"He-Hey Boss?" I look over at him and smile weakly.

"What?" He turns his head to me.

"I have to take a small break. Hope that's okay." My knee collapse and I watch as the world slows down around me. The cliff under me breaks from the weight and Max rushes over, fear in his eyes. I fall over the edge and tears flow freely. I grin and whisper my last words.

    "See you next fall."
