Library

Delirious's POV:

I soon as we hit the main road I started driving like a bat outta hell. We had to find this library as soon as possible. I can't lose Evan. I'd lose myself. Every time we turned everyone was smashed. I ran through stop signs. Vanoss started coughing again. I sped up. I put both hands on the wheel. I put my foot all the way down. I saw the  little red hand move forward in front of me. Vanoss grabbed the handle above him and shifted in his seat. CaRtOoNz, Lui, Nogla and Basically were probably a fucking sandwich. I started to slow down once we got closer to town. "Does anyone know where the library is actually at?" Lui asked. "I think it's beside the old youth church." CaRtOoNz answered. "Jon do you remember where that is?" CaRtOoNz asked. "Sorta." "Really? Dude we used to hang out in the church parking lot all the time." CaRtOoNz exclaimed. Memories came back. We used to always just screw around. We pranked random people walking by. But one time it got out of hand. CaRtOoNz brought some extra friends of his. They were around our age. At that time we were 24 years old. They brought alcohol along with them. CaRtOoNz's other friends brought one girl with them. Her name was Patrica. Everyone called her Pat. Everyone was pretty much hammered by the second case. CaRtOoNz was flirting with Pat. Pat was dating one of the other guys. I think his name was Aaron. He wobbled over to the two flirting. Aaron then bitch slapped CaRtOoNz across the face. CaRtOoNz was surprised at first. He then punched Aaron in the face. Aaron smashed his beer bottle. He pushed CaRtOoNz on the ground and held the bottle to his neck. I snapped. Of course I was a drunk fuck. I chugged down the rest of my drink. I ran over to the two fighting. I smashed the bottle over Aaron's head. He fell over holding his head. He grabbed Pat and ran. Everyone ran. Everyone but CaRtOoNz. I snapped out of my thoughts when Vanoss grabbed my arm. "Dude car!" I slammed the brakes. I put my arm in front of Vanoss to keep him from hitting his face off the dashboard. The car honked and drove by. I pulled forward and saw the church. I sighed and pulled into the parking lot. I parked to the spot closest sidewalk. I got out and walked over to Vanoss's side of the car. I opened the door and picked him up bridal style. "You know I can walk Delirious." He smiled. I chuckled. "Yeah, I know." We walked onto the sidewalk and past the church. The library was still opened. Nogla walked up first and held the door open for us. (Nogla such a gentleman) I walked into the library with Vanoss in my arms. I found the closest chair and set Vanoss down. "You okay Evan?" I looked at him with a half smile. "Hanging in there." He looked up at me and smiled. We looked at each other for a while. I was falling into those chocolate eyes. Even thought they were a grayish they were still beautiful. Our "moment" was broken by Basically's voice. "So we gonna look for this book or what?" "Uhhh yeah of course." I looked at the time. 4:30am. "Shit..." I mumbled. "What Jon?" Vanoss asked. "Oh, nothing." He sighed and rolled his eyes. We were all standing or sitting at one of the tables in the middle of the library. Basically spoke up. "So if we were looking for a mythology book, where would we look in a library?" "I'd go towards the history section." Lui suggested. "Okay. Well lets split up and get looking." CaRtOoNz said. "Delirious, ye should stay with Evan just in case." Nogla said. I nodded and sat down. "Okie!" I looked over at Vanoss with a funny smile on my face. He laughed as a little bit of pink crawled across his pale cheeks. He was very pale. After he was done laughing he started coughing again. My smiled faded away. I patted him on the back. His coughing calmed down. I pulled him into a hug. He was so cold. He was actually shivering. "Vanoss are you still cold?" "Na...no..." "You sure?" "Yeah. Delirious I already got my jacket on and over that your hoodie." "But you are shivering!" "I KNOW! I... I CAN'T CONTROL IT JON!!!" After he yelled it was silent for a couple of minutes. Vanoss looked at me with tears in his eyes. He fell into my arms and let his tears fall. I squeezed him close to my chest. His shoulders fell up and down with each sob. "I'm...I'm...so...so... sorry...J...Jon.." He stuttered between sobs. "Evan it's okay. There is no reason to apologize." I rubbed his shoulders. He had a small smile on his face. His face was in my chest. I rested my head on his head. I had a few tears slip down my face. I closed my eyes. I then heard footsteps. "Umm...Jon?? Is it a bad time?" It was Lui. I opened my eyes. "No Lui it's ok." Lui smiled as he saw me and Vanoss. "Uhh anyway. Luke said we should bring books to you to check out. There are so many mythology books. And we need you to find the right one. If that's okay with you." I nodded. "Yeah it's all good. I better start reading." "Okay, well good luck." Lui said as he walked away. I grabbed the book without moving Vanoss. I started flipping through the pages. This one was a mythical creature book. From A to Z. Lui brought three more books. I flipped through both of them. One said some monster with a disease but it was a sea creature not a pyramid head. Nogla came with two more books. "Any luck Delirious?" I slammed the last book shut. "NO!!" Vanoss jumped as I yelled. He was asleep. He rubbed his eyes and sat back in his chair. "Sorry. I'm just tired of looking through books, and we are running out of time!!!" I looked at Vanoss and let out a shaky breath. "Ey calm down Delirious. We will find that damn cure. Okay?" I sighed. "Okay." I sat at the edge of my seat and started flipping through the pages. I got to a page with the letter 'P' on it.  Then the words stook out to me. Pyramid Head!!!"YES!! I FOUND IT!!!" Vanoss jumped up. "NO WAY!!" He coughed. I read through it. "The cure. Yes this sound a bit like a fairy tale but the cure is pretty simple...." I couldn't read the rest out loud. The guy that wrote that 'note' was right. It was simple for anyone to do. But hard for anyone to find...
