Until Dawn ~ Another Path {Josh x OC}

Chapter 1

I sat at the table, taking yet another swig of my drink. I've been drinking with Josh all night, but I could never seem to keep up with him.

One of my best friends, Beth stood at the window glaring out with a somewhat concerned  face.

Still focusing on the window she said, "Hey Bella, did you see that? Dad said it'd just be use this weekend."

"Ehh, nahh, prob..probably just a deer or somethin.." I mumbled, burping afterwards.

Turning around, she replied "Yeah, you're probably right. Hey, better behave yourself, you're catching up to Josh, Bella." She chuckled, coming up to me and the wasted teen, "Once again brother, you've outdone us all." She patted him on the back.

"Hey, I tried to keep up with him, it just wasn't happening.. At least I beat Chris tho..." I let out a little chuckle.

Beth walked over to the other end of the counter and picked up a note reading "Hannah, you look so damn hot in that shirt...but I bet you look
even better out of it. Come to the guest room at 2:00 am, Mike xxx"

"Oh no, what has my naïve sister gotten herself into this time." She said, running into the guest room.

"Hey..wah..what are you talkin about?" I stumbled off of my chair, doing my best to keep up with her, when I rammed into the guest room.

Sam, another one of my best friends, was scolding Mike and the others in on this pointless prank.

"You guys are jerks!" Sam yelled, scrambling to follow Hannah who had just ran out of the same door.

"Assholes!" I yelled and followed the two girls.

I followed Sam into the crisp blizzard raging outside. I was wasted, yes, but that wasn't going to stop me from saving my best friend.

"Hannah!" I screamed into the eery woods.

Soon, the rest of the so called "friends" followed us out, as well as Beth.

"What's going on? Where's my sister going?" Beth said looking around for her twin.

"Ugh, it's fine. She just can't take a joke." Jess said in her putrid voice. I looked at her with disgust.

"It was just a prank Han!" Emily cupped her hands around her mouth, projecting her voice into the dark forest.

"What the fuck did you ass hats do?" I scolded them with Sam and Beth by my side.

"We were just messing around, it wasn't serious." Mike taking it lightly, as he usually did.

"You jerks!" Beth said before going out into the storm.

I shook my head, starting to run off into the forest, no matter what my instincts of staying in the lodge were telling me.

"Bella, your drunk, you can't go out into the woods like that, Chris would kill me if anything happened to you." Mike said grabbing my arm.

"Get off of me Mike, I'm going to get my best friend." I jerked my arm from his grip and continued to run into the forest.
