(Sad poem)
I try to nourish my bliss,
hoping to meet the person I miss
sometimes she feels so far away,
at times close guiding me night & day.
Her face shining with humour,
I wish she didnt suffer the horrible tumour,
yes,the tumour took her away from me,
I knew it wasnt true,it couldnt be!
But when I saw her in the jaws of death,
let it be a nightmare, I silently plead,
there was very little hope the doctors said,
I walked to her, tears falling on the bed.
She opened her tired but beautiful eyes,
& managed to give me a tight lipped smile,
I stood there,feeling the fading ties,
then turned to her to say that last bye.
~ In the memory of Mariyam Zubair,my class mate who never made it, RIP dude & miss you!!
